I'm going to rebuild and beef up my 350 sbc.
It's the og engine /era correct engine so i want to keep it in the truck as lots of other things will change.
Will be fun have the simplicity of the carb and sbc still powering the old rig
Height of new trucks is really what makes em so much bigger. As said.
My crew cab long bed is a big n wide bitch but it just doesn't sit nearly as high.

i had a positive experience hitting my starter when truck no lights no crank on me in the middle of nowhere.

On my 84 c20 it doesnt drain fast enough for full tilt from the pump. I have to hold it like halfway. I don't get any fuel coming put of the neck but it must back up some as the pump you know detects the fuel and turns off.

I have a th400 or possibly th475 and i asked more or less the same question and the 4L80e is apparently what these evolved to be. So that's what I'm going to down in the future.
