    This is a Draw-Tite frame hitch. I modded the setup a bit for a spare tire carrier, but you can see how it sits in relationship to the bumper. If I were towing even anything about the half the weight you want to pull, I'd opt for the frame mount every time.

    The drivers side belts were cut. I think they had them tied around the steering wheel when it was brought in......then someone wanted the column.

    Just about got this Benz van spare tire cage wrapped up. Got the u-bolts on the back of the hitch welded (with gussets) and the whole thing powder coated. (14) 5/8 GR8 bolts hold it on. The side plates tie the hitch into the frame. I put a bead of black seam sealer around the back of it and...

    Yep - dual 20s. I was going FI so bought brand new ones with the internal baffles for the electric fuel pumps. Pretty sure it comes in gray as well. Nice thing is, you can top coat it with any color you want.

    I epoxy primered the whole thing then used Rhinoliner on the bottom halves because I got rid of those plastic liners that hold junk. POR-15 + topcoated the top halves. I like it.

    Loud squeal over 2k rpm need advice

    Can you get it to run high enough it squeals with the hood up? I would use a stethescope or just a long screwdriver to your ear to find the source. My guess is an accessory bearing.

    I talked with SPI, as well as a couple other different makers of epoxy primers and it always comes back to "it SHOULD be ok...." if I wet it and power wash it off.     Biggest vac-runability issues I always had was the carb base gasket. PO had the same issues....replaced every o-ring and gasket except that one which he obviously left just for me. What a guy.

    I had a car similar to this....blasted thing would lock the doors with the key on. Hated it. Are these wires for power TO the relay or power coming FROM the relay? I would use a DVOM for continuity to find both ends. I'm sure whoever installed it just interrupted a circuit, so would be a matter...
