@JM in KY those little badges can be found but they are ridiculously expensive. I really should buy a replacement for when/if I ever repaint my truck. It's a very small badge but things like that do matter to some folks...I am one of those.- Redfish

@JM in KY can you tell us why you specifically wanted a 1987? Was it because of the TBI? You have a very nice looking truck there. Unless your truck still has the "FUEL INJECTION" badge on the tailgate there isn't really any way for the casual observer to know what year your truck is. I got...- Redfish

But they can benefit from a little bit more...my 350 TBI is currently set at 8 degrees BTDC with the magic wire unplugged. I initially set it to 0 when I installed the new distributor but it was so weak... I later bumped it to 4 and it was much better. I was going to try 6 but moved it... -
SM465 X 2.5 gears
I am not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish with this theoretical gear swap. It doesn't matter what gear ratio you have or how low you drop the RPM, your fuel mileage will not improve to match that of a modern vehicle. Extra bulb in dash
I looked this up on a wiring diagram and...yellow with pink/black is for a Water In Fuel warning light. That sounds like something for a 6.2 Diesel to me. On a second diagram it is for a Check Engine light.- Redfish

What have you done to your square lately??
I have been advancing the ignition timing on my TBI 350. The manual says to unplug the magic wire and set the timing at 0 degrees. I did that when I installed the new distributor and have never been satisfied with the power from this motor. I keep replacing old components with some improvement... -
tire/wheel combo for 2.5inch lift
@chevy79_qa I have not replied to this thread yet because my Truck is a 1500 and is running the factory 15 inch rally wheels. But I am running the 2.5 inch Skyjacker front springs...sort of. oil pressure switch
There are two oil pressure measuring devices on the '87 TBI 350. The one under the engine, right above the oil filter is the sending unit for the pressure gauge. It's more difficult than I realized because the entire radiator support/nose section is different on the '73/'74. You cannot just put a setback grill from those years on a '75 and later truck, it won't attach. Some pics of Duane's Blazer from a local show last April: -

It's an exceptional vehicle. Duane took over 7 years to build it and it is extremely well done. The nose is '73/'74 with the setback grill, the rest of it is '78. And yes...it does have an LS motor. -

That is Amazing! I was seriously considering that color and scheme for my '87 but (thanks to this forum) I found out it was a 1985 only scheme and didn't think it was right to use it. Thank you for sharing that!
