74 C10 rear end interchange
It would work with a TH400 with the fixed yoke. :D Can you shift a transmission without the output shaft being held from the brakes from park to in gear and back? Never thought about that.:think:- ali_c20

Avs2 problems
First check if your ignition is adjusted right and all it's components are ok. Check for vacuum leaks. No vacuum leaks and ignition spot on - adjust carb.- ali_c20

Buying one of these trucks just wondering if it’s a good deal or not
GMC branded replacement parts like grills and emblems are not that common and often more expensive. Both trucks will need a full rebuild so it's up to your preference. Get both and you can use what's good and dump the rest. -

It should park. The park switch is in the motor. Your wiper switch could be bad or wiring to the park switch or ground. New steering pump and still leaks power steering fluid. Do I need a different pump or Lucas stop leak?
Had leaks from the cap 2 times and it was both times my fault. Not bleed the entire air out of the system. Overfilled.- ali_c20

Door weatherstrip
Post some pics of the weatherstrips you have concerns about. Easier to give advice when we can see what's going on. Windshield weather strip is a real pain to install. You have to work it in the corners like hell. After a few weeks it shrinks/sets and fits like it should. -
Gas to Diesel swap, question on fueling
With a 6 port pollack style tank selector valve. The return lines a switched simultaneous with fuel lines.- ali_c20
