    Front spring question

This, i have an old piece of shaft that I got from the scrap barrel at work. Drilled it to fit some M12 bolts (that's what we had in 12.9 lol) I use that with a bolt on both sides. Get it tight, hold the head of one bolt an tighten the nut. It will usually pop them without a hammer. I think 2...

    Front spring question

Huck got most of your questions answered it seems. If you pay attention at shows all these trucks lean one way or another. Just try not to let it bother you. Most people don't measure before or notice but they lean before you lower them too. Its just more noticeable after because like you...

Searching for My Dad's 1979 Chevy Suburban

78 an older columns have a splined output an the common "jeep shaft" upgrade won't work on them. I found out the hard way then bought another u- joint and modifed the jeep shaft to fit mine. Thread I made about it: Thread 'Jeep Intermediate Shaft on a Early (79 and down) Column'...

    Looking for 73-74 gmc grill

I've used the 3 piece bracket kit an stock core supports. It doesn't hit all the mounting holes for the grill but it enough that it stays on there. My truck has a 74 gmc grill with the same 3 brackets (just oe ones) on its factory support.

You just need the right brackets, they sell a kit of them if you really want to do it

What have you done to your square lately??

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

Just because that's what they are for an are much better at it. I used to be solidly in the "why does everyone need a big diesel truck" camp. Gas trucks do it just fine. I started towing heavier stuff an it started to make more sense. My gas truck does it sure but it struggles on hills (I'm on...

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

Honestly if it primary purpose is towing anything over 10k lbs the diesel in a better buy.

    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

While I haven't done it YET, I'm scared to death I'll forget the security chain around the wheel an try to drive off with it still attached. That SHOULD remind me to take the cover off too

Towing a diesel 2500 Burb on a 17’ flatbed trailer

It'll hit the caliper first. The way they neck down inside it won't clear the brakes without the spacer on the rotor. If you pulled the calipers then it would hit the other stuff too....

    1991 Chevy V3500 Cummins

Oh man, I am considering a cummins for my dually to get the mileage up away from 10 with the 454. You guys aren't making it sound worth the effort lol. I know it's not a fair comparison to these lifted big tire 4x4s though considering the completely different style of truck  although the...

New guy needs help with butterflies

I'm not sure what you mean by the tires being "butterfly" but... A competent alignment shop (ie not a national chain center) should be able to inspect an tell you exactly what is worn an needs replacement. You might have to search for one that will check/set more than just the toe. Once you...

Kudos for sticking with it, an sharing the adventure with all the details. I've learned alot through this. ****CAUTION, PLEASE READ****

It's rampant in the GMT400 (obs) groups on FB. I don't see it as much on the square stuff but it is out there. All I can figure is the typical square owner is older an doesn't fall for it as easily I guess. It boggles me how so many obs guys fall for the obvious scam posts or tags to supposed...

    ****CAUTION, PLEASE READ****

I always tell people the only way I'll pay is PayPal goods an services. I cover the extra 3% for the fee thats charged. If they can't accept it that way then I'm not a buyer. I will eat the fee to cover my @ss just in case.

What have you done to your square lately??

But spectra off rockauto.com an google a 5% code if there isn't one floating around on the forum. Doubt you'll find a better deal. LMC should be last resort for something only they carry. You can usually get anything they have cheaper somewhere else. Just my .02
