    If one pieced together an AC system how would they determine how much refrigerant to use for maximum cooling efficiency? I assume the pressures on the high side versus low side play into the equation but how do you know when enough is enough? Asking for a friend..;)

    Your measuring surface temp assuming it's accurate. So, you have replaced every part of the gauge circuit and still have the same result based on the laser gun reading? Is the sending unit the correct one for the application?

    Unless the steering column, dash and firewall are the same, they ain't the same. Possible some fab work might make them work but your back to square one. If you plan on using vacuum brakes, let me know, I know somebody..;) I assume you know that only 85-87 had hydraulic, not mechanical linkage...

    I just checked those out. I wasn't aware of them. It's good they have replaceable cartridges. I don't like plastic housings, they tend to get cloudy, especially here in the desert heat. That's why I like the glass version I got from lmc. And the price difference. I would absolutely cover them...
