    Best split bench option

I sold my truck 5 years ago. Sorry. It's really easy on a 1988-1994 solid bench seat. Most of the holes even line up on the bottom of the newer seat frame, when adding the 1980-87 bench seat tracks. I think we only drilled ONE hole!! You do have to cut/shorten the newer seat adjuster cable...

What have you done to your square lately??

Channel locks. I use channel locks to hold the regulator in place while you change out the old to new motors. I also use a marker to outline the old motor/regulator set-up before I separate them.

What have you done to your square lately??

I have always been a SBC guy. LOL!! Seen them on Ebay from time to time. Large, flat, stamped metal bracket. Not sure if the vendors sell them today??

What have you done to your square lately??

It is a BBC shroud, but you need the correct solid, upper, mount. You are using the SBC left & right shroud brackets still. :waytogo:

Adding a headrest to a bench seat

1988-1990 GM seats would all be low back anyways. 1991-94 is when the "safer" high backs came out.

    Best split bench option

20 years ago we installed a 1994 Sierra Classic/Silverado bench seat into my 1983 C10 regular cab. It was easy & I gained a lot more cabin room! This bench seat also had the headrest and a fold out armrest in the middle- Loved it. Soon after, we installed the same style 1990-94 GM 60/40 seats in...

GM old paint codes and does color tones still match?

SOME of these pin stripes CAN still be found today!! I just finished acquiring some for our 2-tone blue 1984. One set came from searching Ebay & the others from various GM dealers around America. You are needing the 5-stripe, GM code "61A". This gives you 3 larger Almond stripes & 2 smaller...

    Torque Convertor Lock-Up Switch

Yes, we have that vacuum switch on the drivers side firewall. I have that connector unplugged now (way I bought the truck too) and the lock-up is inactive today. The 2.73 rear axle ratio is terrible for drivability on an all stock 305cid. With the harness plugged in on the firewall, lock-up...

    Dim Dash Lights

Just cheep 194 LED replacements is all we did in our 1984 Silverado. They alone made a world of difference. I cleaned the clear lens with glass cleaner while I had it all apart too- This is no show truck by any means either. -Jon in TX.
