87 headlight bezel color ?
Mine was a darker color than the argent silver. Bought the GM repops from LMC and they were the proper color. Not sure which colors go with which years, but there are two colors, lighter and darker. The bezels match the grille.- Finkaire

Look at these 2 steering gear boxes. Whats best.
Same issues with mine, had the frame welded and replaced the steering box. The first box was almost like no power steering at all, advertised as improved. Replaced with a box more like the original, two fingers. Second box was more expensive, both new, not rebuilt.- Finkaire

96 sanden compressor into an 83
Your truck did not come with barrier hoses. Slip on fittings will not work with barrier hoses. Find a hot-rod shop for a referral, you will need them custom made. Good luck! I’m still running R-12 in mine- Finkaire

Rear brake lockup! I gave up and took it to a shop. Got it back with the brakes dragging. After three attempt and a bunch of money they work. There is confusion on the OE setup, I’m the original owner. Supposedly they couldn’t find wheel cylinders that matched? Brake line swapped did the final...- Finkaire

simple, positive and ground. The chassis of the car is grounded to the ground terminal on the battery. Tractor Supply sells brands mentioned here. I had a Dewalt that I loved. I have a small Porter-Cable now, cast iron oil pumps are friendly -

Searching for a modern sound system

High Idle 84 chevy C20 w/350
Mine did the same thing, there is an adjustment for the high idle. I adjusted mine down to where I don’t think I have a choke any more. I have to feather the throttle to keep it running in the morning but then it runs fine, just passed smog. I have the electric carburetor- Finkaire

Okay, speakers not bad, not great! OE speakers are 3” in the front and 10”x? In the rear. They do sell replacements, and then there‘s 6x9’s, kick panel speakers. I believe the retrosound has plugs for amps and subwoofer. I mostly like the controls compared to my sons Alpine- Finkaire

Cructhfield all the way! Retrosounds with plug adapter. No cutting, Bluetooth, knobs and buttons and I get excellent sound from the original speakers. Wonderful upgrade, no regrets!- Finkaire

Headman has a good reputation. Being in California modifications are extremely limited. I like the stock manifolds, quiet and you don’t have to end wrench the plugs out.- Finkaire

ac compressor keeps cycling on/off?
A proper charge is critical in a 134a system, the only way to charge the system properly is to start from scratch. Only then can the system be diagnosed.
