You may save some money on powder coat by rattle canning them. I found a set of centers and rings on EBay you might like. Wheels make a huge difference in appearance! -

If the system was retrofitted properly there will be a sticker indicating oil type, refrigerant type and capacity. Replace the accumulator and orifice tube (don’t force it, otherwise leave it in there), Drain and fill compressor with Ester oil if no sticker indicating that it has already been... -
Lowering Shackles on a C10 Stepside
Cut the bolts and replace from the inside? I am looking to lower the rear to level as well. Mine has HD springs and am looking at replacing the leafs as well to soften the ride.- Finkaire

After ordering two aluminum radiators “didn’t fit” I had my original copper and brass radiator from 1984 recored. So I can’t say I had an overheating problem with the aftermarket radiators. Wasn’t inexpensive but it’s original. My question is and maybe I missed it, did it overheat before...- Finkaire

AC Oil and Charging Question
New compressors typically come with PAG oil installed. If this is a retro-fit system you will need to drain the oil and install ESTER oil. Yes, you can add oil directly into the pump or the suction line. -

A/C Oil question
PAG Oil is a corrosive and may damage the evaporator. Only use an ESTER Oil in a retrofit system using 134a in an original R12 system. Drain oil, install a new accumulator and swap out the orifice tube only if it removes easily. 10 ounces is what is recommended for the A6 compressor. -

Dropping my Stock '74 Stepper - Need Advice
I’m in the same boat. I ordered the truck with heavy suspension. Being a little (a lot) older I would like a softer suspension. The fronts after 180k are soft enough. I am in agreement with CheemsK15, no sense in messing with the compressor and the mount at least. Nothing compares with OE parts! -

A/C box removal. How to remove blind screw?
I used a 2” hole saw to the wheel well -
1983 c30 A/C Compressor Clutch
Sounds like high pressure, start with a lower charge. I would lean more to compressor failure than the clutch, contamination? Check inside the discharge hose from the compressor for contamination -
