    I have them for the shotgun but took them back off...again. Less air restriction is my reasoning. I do agree with you tho, this is what it looked like without the filter on, which I mostly 4an when it was raining.

    Thanks. Actually the current one is a shotgun scoop. Here is the bug catcher I used to run...until the computer took a dump and I didn’t want to put another 2 grand in to replace it.

    I run 100% non ethanol in mine. In the summer during our irrigation season she will sit in the garage as long as 2 weeks and I have to crank longer than normal to prime the carbs back up. Mechanical pump also. Was gonna put a one-way check valve before the pre-filter but not worth the 50 bucks...

    Knocked the summer grime off and put a good coat of wax on to help repel the winter crud that will be here before we know it.

    8 MPG?

    I can squeeze 10 mpg on the highway. In town....not so well. Sb with a few bolt-on parts, 33 tall rear tires, 4.56 gears. Ran efi for several years and didn’t get any better mileage.

    I'm liking it. Once the heat fades it a bit it'll look good. Have seen this at plenty of shows. Still like the old holley covers too.

    Seems like it was only yesterday that I put these on the front. Checked the date stamped on the tires.....2007! They say 8-10 years is about normal. At first it kinda had a wobble but thought it was a bearing going out. Never seen anything out of the ordinary. But when it let go, it let go...

    Guys, them are some mighty fine engine bays! I do have 1 constructive criticism tho....the master cylinders need a coat of paint as they kinda stand out right now.
