    The wisest way to modernize a C20

    Anyone else’s square have some genius modernized upgrades that keep the truck original as possible? Those things take more effort, but are so valuable to those of us dealing with them decades later. The old man who owned this one knew wisdom while still wanting modern capabilities.

    thanks Dan. Yes, this one is brand new. Any particular type of recommendations for lube for the speedo cable? Silicone spray, ptfe "dry" bicycle chain lube, or other?

    Replaced the speedo cable. PO just cut it at the transfer case. It is jumpy and loudly clicking. From what I’ve read, it needs to be lubed?

    Brake pedal sinks to floor engine on

    I had the same problem. Replaced everything associated with brakes and then replaced the master too. A wise friend told me to have someone pump the brake pedal while I take my rubber gloved thumb and finger to plug the ports on the master while the friend pumped the brakes until fluid came out...

    Yes, I also would like to know if they worked previously, if so, when and was anything done right before they stopped working? Have you checked the fuses below the dash, by the parking brake yet? We can help, but need to start there first to know more about the situation.

    LOL. Yep, super strange to see that as one of the details. These seem to fit pretty well. The aluminum trim pieces had to be folded on the edges to go around the plastic lens edge, but was easy and pretty fool proof since I could do it.

    Do you have a good fabric dash cover tutorial to share with the rest of us? Mine is so hideous that the PO spray painted it flat black. I need some unsprayation to get me to do something cool to it

    I'm thinking this could be a great solution for $20. Pre-bent hardline. https://www.inlinetube.com/products/ctc8143 I purchased a pre-bent hardlines from Inline Tube for my rear axle when I replaced the entire brake system on my truck and they were worth every penny.
