Be aware, Watco Danish oil is just hype and bull. It's just poly thinned, then thinned some more, so it's easy to apply. They don't use actual Danes (snort). LED Tail lights now slow blinkers
BUT, know that, while resistors tend to be more trustworthy than incandescents AND LED's, the resistor will increase the load in the circuit. The WHOLE purpose of installing it - to add more load to the circuit, WHILE running the longer lived LED's that, hopefully, hold up better. SIDE NOTE1...- Dejure

I had to swap my bimetal relay for a digital ones on my 81 Grumman van and my 78 step side. The LED's, often, use too little power to trigger the old relays.- Dejure

My secret reason for THIS was/is, my step side. Call it a wire labeler, a gauge labeler, a distributor plug wire labeler, a gauge bezel maker. It might even be a truck labeler (emblem). To keep the secret aloft, I have a few hundred projects that, hope against hope, might both divert attention... -

I would add, I live in WArshington. I've lived on the coast and inland. Never owned anything with AWD or 4 wheel drive until a few years back. Defroster without AC
BUT everybody knows, vertical openings create far better (perfect) vacuums above 27 mph than do horizontal ones. [Said by a former smoker when such things were still found on new cars] SIDE NOTE: Always leave a couple holes open in the fire wall, so the vacuum created doesn't collapse the cab.
