Good enough or perfection
I put this truck together out a pile of parts. It looks decent but will never win a car show. Not a daily but use for my sideline sawmill duties. This was my plan all along. -

60 days in on my 90 day rebuild. Goin to try a motor upgrade next. Any advice on going from a 350 to a 454?
The wood floor beds are awesome. In my opinion, I would use a hardwood like white Oak. I've owned a few and the hardwood held up fine. Had an old Ford step side with a pine floor and it rotted rather quickly. Use boiled linseed oil to help preserve. -
1978 K10 auto to 4 spd manual swap
My K20 with sm465, 208 with 3:73 and 31" tires is about perfect set up in my opinion. 2000 rpm at 55. I rarely need to go any faster....- Shorty81

New hydraulic roller bbc break in
I used Shaeffer 7000 Supreme 10w40 high zinc oil on break in on my flat tappet 496. still using same oil 11 years later, motor happy.- Shorty81

Mounting fender emblems should not cause this much anxiety!
I would not drill holes. Cut studs off and use 3M double sided tape. Mine have held on strong for 11 years now.- Shorty81
