    Well, my original thought was to make uprights that sip into the front stake pockets and then bolt them down through the hole in the bottom of the pocket. And then come about 2’ down the top of the bed rails with some angle.

    They could either come with sport wheels, like in your picture, rally wheels, or steel wheels with hubcaps. Of the three the steel wheels would probably be cheapest. Too bad you’re not closer, I have a couple sets of wheels sitting around I’d let you borrow for inspection.

    Currently driving around with wagon wheels on one side and stock on the other side. The wagon wheels are definitely growing on me. Too bad I don’t have a tire machine where I could switch the tires over for a trial run

    Well, the truck is actually Cordova brown. I know it looks black in the picture, but it’s not. The factory wheels are white, but I guess the big hubcaps break them up a bit more.

    I’ve got two that I know the radio part works on. The tape player part is questionable. May just need to be cleaned, may be something mechanical. The audio vox is aftermarket, and the clarion is a stock radio from an 84 GMC.

    Correct, 81 and up used a different style. On a side note, any self respecting 4x4 should have tow hooks.

    So, I’m thinking about buying or building a headache rack for my truck. I’ve looked at the back rack brand and I like them, but I want to see some others as well. So if you have one, homemade or store bought, let me see them. I’ll probably use it to mount some lights and maybe a cb antenna as well.
