Rear disc vs drum
It's not as bad as some make it out to be. I had to make my own brake lines and weld some tabs onto the axle. Sourced a different proportioning valve and they work just like a newer truck. I used the Ruffstuff specialties kit.- Beast496

If it was me, I still wouldn't do a flush. If I felt it still had life in it, I would drop the valve body, thoroughly clean it, bore brush all the passages, polish everything up, and put it back together with a new filter and gaskets. How much material in the pan are we talking about? was it magnetic? as said above, you're better off not wasting money on a flush unless, you want to get it as clean as possible before you tear it apart for a rebuild. I suppose you could try to drop the valve body and see how free everything is...- Beast496

Are all dash pads created equal?
Don’t use classic industries urethane. It looks good, and does have some steel where the clips lock into, but they pull away very easy and cause the pad to pull up. That’s what I’ve got. I’ve finally got it to stay put, but it took some epoxy, self tappers and a few cuss words that I’m positive... -

Body and frame welding needed
If you have access to another frame section as you stated, then take off the frame forward of the spring hangars, where you'll have more space to weld in your fish plate. then you won't need to worry about interference with the spring hangars. It'll be a little more work, but better in the long run.- Beast496

1971 Dart Swinger
I rebuilt my NP205 last year and agree, it was quite frustrating to see half the "Master Kit" not needed, or even identified for what application it was for. Just a bag of parts, seals, and gaskets. Obviously, the NP205 was used throughout a wide variety of makes and models, but still, frustrating.- Beast496

Death wobble
As already stated, the steering stabilizer will only hide a problem. In reality, you should be able to completely take off your steering stabilizer, front sway bar, and drive it down the road just fine with zero issues, true and tight. If not, then it'll be easier to pinpoint your problem.- Beast496

??? Do you mean the modulator on the transmission? TH400 doesnt have a throttle valve cable like a 700R4 if thats what you're thinking.- Beast496

Looks really good. Nice work. I’m diggin the seat. I’m saving up for a seat reupholster at a local shop. It’s gonna be pricey because of the leather I’m going with, but it’ll be worth it. -

Yes, you kind of need to know where you're going with it though. Changing to different springs will only give you small, subtle changes. Changing weights or grinding off inner material, will yield bigger changes. lighter equals later shifts. heavier equals earlier shifts. Sounds like you need to...- Beast496
