    Again, An Oil Pressure Querry

I've always ran a mechanical gauge for as long as I can remember. For those with the electrical sender, it was usually just ripping out the electrical sending unit and just plumbing in a gauge on any non efi motor. Honestly it sounds as if the sending unit is starting to fail. Could be as simple...

Looking to find the original window sticker for reprint 1984

Depending on year, plant and line guy tossing them on, could be in either location. But I'd check with the GM Heritage guys first. Yeah it's gonna set ya back the $50, but from what I've heard, it's a very in depth report on your truck.

    Brakes Sticking,Locking up

Any chance when you crack the fitting at the back of the caliper that fluid comes out of it, the line not the caliper? Can also have a helper press the brake pedal while it's off to make sure that you're getting fluid to the caliper. Just make sure to tighten it back up before the release the...

    Brakes Sticking,Locking up

Could be just a bad hose, unfortunately it does happen to all manufacturers. Like Rick said, going to be a restriction in the system and gonna need a helper. Have the helper press the brake pedal and release a few times. Check the wheel to see if it turns or not, repeat as needed to recreate...

    73 C10 with Simulated Vinyl Roof YG3

Saw this down in Alabama and it's a very cool looking rig with some pretty rare options. First thing that caught my eye was the drip rails. Almost makes me wish I was closer. Might call my sister and brother in-law in Huntsville and see if they want to take a ride out that way for me lol...

    Tank strap issue

Lol, all good bud. Just glad you got it sorted and can get those babies plumbed up and ready to go

    Tank strap issue

To my recollection, there never was a dual 20 gallon tank option. It was either single 16 (LH or RH), single 20 (LH or RH), or dual 16's. You'd have to let one of the guys who've converted to dual 20's to chime in here if they used an oem or custom set. But it would appear that the fuel lines...

    Tank strap issue

Went from dual 16's to dual 20's. IIRC there was no dual 20 gallon tank on either short or long bed, but I have been wrong before, just don't tell my wife I said that lol. Problem is the rear bracket should be moved back to the next hole set in the frame, and the front hole and tank strap will...

    What are these?

PO custom add ons? Follow the cables to see where they go. Same with the wrong for the light. Definitely not anything original afaik.

New to the site: Help with my 1979 C10 Chevy Sport

It very well could be. Depending on the person running the line that day, could be in the glovebox, under the dash, stuck under carpet etc. If there's some discoloration on the plastic inside the glovebox, could have been there at one time. But from the looks of it, definitely correct for the...

New to the site: Help with my 1979 C10 Chevy Sport

Welcome and congrats on the new find! I'd start off with the GM Heritage center for your year and model. That will give you some clue as to what was offered and some insight on the vehicle. Any other documentation on the vehicle being a Sport trim or? If the original options sticker is inside...

Transmission lengths and transmission humps for 70s trucks + clutch cylinder discussion

Can confirm this, 4wd auto/manual got the high humps as well as 2wd floor shifted manuals. My 3 on the tree 2wd has the low hump.

Trans fluid in 3 speed Saginaw

Seems like the most readily available stuff, well at least anything that can be shipped to me or able to be picked up before this stupid Nor'easter shows up on Sunday, is some Valvoline Syncromesh. Anybody have any experiences with it? Valvoline Syncromesh MTF

Trans fluid in 3 speed Saginaw

Seen a few GL-4's that are for non syncro trans as well, which I though was kinda weird. But it was also a synthetic instead of conventional. Then again pretty difficult to find a decent conventional gear oil anymore it seems since like everything is a blend of synthetics. Thanks! And I've...

Trans fluid in 3 speed Saginaw

Ok guys, need some help from the guru's here. Looking to swap the fluid in my trans this weekend. But unfortunately the owners manual and the interwebs haven't been much help tbh. I know some of the older trans use to run 80w-90 gear oil and some of the 4 speeds at one time were using Dexron II...

2001 2wd silerado frame 1976 cab and bed

Seeing a guy doing this on Tiktok, basically cut out the firewall from the squarebody and stuffing it down on the newer frame to keep the new dash and drivetrain. Haven't seen any updates on the kid for almost 2 months now, not sure if they gave up or what.

    Aftermarket mirrors

100x this! Blind spot button mirrors do work wonders. Have had these on all my squares with those mirrors, aside my current. Still waiting to find the stainless ones instead of the plastic crap ones I've got on it now.

    Amazon special/ Led Headlights

Dang that's a sweet deal for both! For the set I'd pay that AND for almost anything reasonable for shipping to the east coast! Wonder if they'd be into shipping, can always give them my shipper ID and just have it billed to me lol.

    Amazon special/ Led Headlights

Now if there was only a 5x7 (H6054) option...... lol Looks pretty decent though for what they are. I kinda like my stock halogens, once I got them aimed correctly after the first night drive. PO had the drivers side pointed like about 8 feet in front of me on the ground lol. Let's just say it...

    Factory Engine Color???

Can confirm 77 was Corp Blue, not a fan. And my 83 is black, but nothing says hubba hubba to me like a chevy orange paint job lol. Unless you're going period correct.

Fuel Gauge 0-90 with Fuel Sender 0-95 omhs??

Out of curiosity, is the resistor on the back of the fuel gauge? But as mentioned above, make sure that you've got a solid ground at the tank from the sending unit to the frame. Grounds do some really funky sh*t in these trucks. Ask any of us who've been there.

    Under dash speaker opinion

Personally I'd just patch the passengers side and run the 3.5" on both sides. Running some cheapo Pyles in the dash with some cheap 6x9's in the rear. Sounds good enough for me, besides the truck is too damned loud anyways to notice anyways lol.
