Hazards, signals and horn not working after steering wheel reassembly

I am assuming you mean the wiper switch. If so, no sense changing what works- or , paying for the part. :anitoof:

Hazards, signals and horn not working after steering wheel reassembly

Perhaps this will help- they had an issue with a burned wire. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/turn-signal-switch-install.35861/

Hazards, signals and horn not working after steering wheel reassembly

Oh - I can't tell if your truck has the wipers on the column but since you mentioned the high beam clicker I will guess it does. If so, any chance you only plugged the wiper switch back in and not the long one for the turn signal? Just throwing stuff out there.

Hazards, signals and horn not working after steering wheel reassembly

Unless that switch got damaged somehow or the wires pinched or torn during your rack repair I am lost. If you happen to have, or know someone that does, a spare switch then you could connect the new one outside of the column for a quick test.

Hazards, signals and horn not working after steering wheel reassembly

I'd double check the connector for the turn signal switch. On Goldie years ago even though it looked like it was plugged in it was not and I had no brake lights. Horn and hazards are constant hot and it sounds like they worked before.

'73-'76 turn signal switch not universal

@Raider L That 1st link makes it look like the 72 and prior switches may have the round connection instead of the rectangular plugs. Maybe- I have not played with one. Did not cate for that round body style in high school and when I finally decided I did like them it was too late as prices...

'73-'76 turn signal switch not universal

Forget what year they changed, but as you noticed they did. There used to be an adapter offered for them as well. Not sure if it still is or price on it so your way may be better! Quick link - 1st I saw...

    I'm at a loss..

Wild guess - something like this that is keeping the shoes slightly engaged? https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c1-and-c2-corvettes/3427581-63-drum-brake-backing-plate-grooves-in-contact-pts.html

    speedometer question

As long as the new speedo is still a mechanical one - cable driven - that is needed. It is an adapter for a different gear ratio that is OE equipment.

    Vacuum for 1979 GMC

Factory ported on a 79 IIRC. Don't know how good this pic is from the phone, but the emissions routing is probably on this site in the tech section. For sure For a LD 80 K1500 Sub since mine is there. :)

Needs Rescuing Good Parts Truck Deep in the NE Texas Woods

Oh, I am belly aching about my never ending always falling rear view mirror in the truck. I never cared for the "car mirrors" - the little mirrors that came on the typically lower trim optioned truck as they don't seem big enough to be useful. But, my .02.

Very nice, but ... Black and no AC would sadly probably make this one a pass round here. Then again, until '73 IIRC Z28s did not get AC ... :anitoof:

    Windshield wiper and washer problem

I have had this issue with my 80 Suburban as well. For me, the problem is in cold weather ( a relative term, I know) which is defined as say below 60F. I think it has to do with the solenoid that yiu can see on top of the arm visible with the washer pump cover removed ( the plastic cover)...

What have you done to your square lately??

For about the 10th time since I have had her I had to reglue the mirror. Used a different kind and one drop as per the instructions. It was a fat drop, but only one. We shall see. :boxing:

1975 Chevy Camaro - One Owner and Only 31K original miles!! - $3,900

Well, I meant to say hockey stick ... :) Look at the bottom left pic on the link for the 78 - 81 standard panel. The armrest has an angled thin part that goes upward and mounts to the door with a single screw. The inside of that pull is plastic that will break and now you have a flopping...

1975 Chevy Camaro - One Owner and Only 31K original miles!! - $3,900

I did not think the "hockey stick" door handles showed up until 1978. Positive on that for Firebirds. Hmm. Well, if this is right, looks like the LT trim got ripped off. I don't like the way they break if you pull too close to the upper mount of the armrest...

My 1973 gmc sierra grand is squeaking

100% troof ! :anitoof: All my vehicles are older to old as well and none of them are quiet. The wife's Ranger pickup is an 01 and probably the quietest of the bunch in the interior with the windows up. Don't really care for the most part what it sounds like outside - it's PAID FOR...

Should I go topless this summer?

I'd say try it ! :) Full disclosure - all the 2 door sport utes I have owned had the fully removable top, not just the half cap. Not as much fun (my .02) for the driver, BUT there is some shade from the direct sun that way. All of them are relatively heavy - while I have done the metal full...
