    Used Dash Pads- Any value?

Ya colors are better than black for reflection. Do one and let’s see it. Thats ALOT of work though to get the buildup, glass perfect, paint or gel. But we all like our own unique things.

Stolen truck found after 30 years

FWIW similar happened to a buddy couple years ago. Not stolen but he’d sold this late 60s K10 back in the day. Apparently it was never re-titled. Fast forward 25-30 years he gets a call from an impound lot a couple hours away and about 10 min away from where he sold it. Said your truck is...

Stolen truck found after 30 years

He’ll, I got that going on now and not for too many tickets. I only carry comp on our SRT, which sucks (an slightly not legal but it’s my risk imo fuuk em), but my otherwise very good and good rates ins co literally wanted almost $5k a year for full coverage. And even liability was about half...

Stolen truck found after 30 years

See the “Hey wanna buy your truck” thread. If your serious above I have a few I’ll sell ya that you’ll think are a deal and I’ll laugh my way to the bank. Seriously.

    fuel valve placement?

My 77 has aftermarket dual tank and aftermarket 1 wire valve. It’s located in the center of a crossmember near the front of the tanks. If you’re going OE valve, they’re kind of oddly mounted as shown above. 3 bolts iirc, once of which is hard to get to and may need the heat shield depending on...

    Used Dash Pads- Any value?

And be a poor decision due to glare. Heck my new truck has a gloss black bezel around the infotainment screen. Mostly vertical but with a small lip at the top that is horizontal. And just that little bit will reflect like a mirror at the right trajectory to the sun.

    Used Dash Pads- Any value?

Fortunately there is no supply issue with dilapidated squarebody dash pads.

    Used Dash Pads- Any value?

What’s that cost? We know new ones aren’t cheap and the expensive one I bought just warped by the drivers defrost vent after a couple years.

    Camber issue

It is not normal and the 2 fixes were presented. I’ve seen this before. Idk what causes it but a bent axle is typically opposite so I’m saying mfg defect that passed by @Keith Seymore nose back in the day!! lol. Jk Keith. Actually our 74 CJ5 has a bit of this going on. Never measured how...

    Camber issue

Huh? It’s a solid axle. And even if you could, by the time you got the bad one straight, the other side would have just as bad of camber in the opposite direction. Or am I missing something here?

    K10 NEED LONGER WHEEL STUDS.

Depending on the rims, you can use extended shank lug nuts. Thats what I did on my 77C10 to get full thread engagement with alloy wheels. Hellofalot easier than replacing all the lugs.

All time 4x4 / NP203 Truck Questions, hard to make tight turns

Good call. In my experience a binding u joint will not cause the pronounced hopping like 4wd on dry pavement but but more of a minor see saw motion in the steering wheel. But I’ve only experienced this with one u joint binding and it was not from rust and non use but the first sign of the u...

CCV Delete on L5P Duramax – Worth It or Not?

Are you doing it because there’s an issue or because the internet says it’s necessary? That is how you decide whether to do it or not.

    Can you dig it.

But the real question is do all the lighters work? I don’t even smoke but I think every vehicle should come with a smoker lighter. First, because it seems like a god given right and a feature that should have never been removed…for posterity’s sake. Also a good survival tool if you run out of...

Dual tanks - was not expecting that

This is confusing as you say it has a switch so presumably factory dual tanks, but no filler for one tank (like no hole in the bed?). Couple things. First, a crossover is kind of inherently unsafe. If it’s gravity it means holes in the bottom of each tank. Ever notice you never see a gas tank...

Dual tanks - was not expecting that

I’m comfortable saying there was never a factory crossover on a dual tank squarebody.

Who knows auto insurance? Ins outs loopholes

^I too could have been mistaken. Thought he said he got $30k and was stuck with the rest, meaning his insurance didn’t cover the difference. Assuming the truck is actually worth more than $30k. With gap covering the remainder IF he has gap. If I had to finance a new or newer vehicle I sure as...

    Electric running boards.

I see what they did, just a short step with mounts forward of the tank. For the OP, I’d think you could maybe cannibalize an old amp step and configure it similar to that. Warning AMP parts are $$$$. I looked into what I needed to change the amps steps from out 2016 Ram to the 2026, same...

Who knows auto insurance? Ins outs loopholes

Has nothing to do with gap. He said the other party only paid half its value because that’s all the coverage they had. His collision coverage would pick up the rest, ( or most of it even if upside down a bit ) unless he didn’t have collision. What he said doesn’t make sense.

No but it would be super cool! Too bad the pickups tanks are in the way unlike Blazers
