    Bulb and ignition switch questions

How is everyone doing, the temperature here is finally below 100 so we can get some real work done. Vehicle is a 73 GMC C1500 and we have started the complete wiring harness install. Since all of the sockets are getting replaced, thought might as well replace all the bulbs as well, which comes...

Adding Air Conditioning in the South

The complete kit that I got has defrost abd the heater isn’t electric if that’s what you mean it uses the cooling system just like the factory heater. It is all just moved to one nice unit under the dash G

Adding Air Conditioning in the South

I have half the vintage air installed in my daughters 73 c1500. Installed everything but do not have it all hooked up yet as I am trying to finish the wiring and interior so I don’t have to do double work. As far as the kit it is pretty plug and play. No fab or anything really, just bolt in...

    Charcoal Can

I finally found a diagram for a 3 port can on autozone of all places. So for anyone else looking for this the original routing is 1 port from the fuel tank. 1 port goes to the pcv valve and the other went to the port on the front of the qj carb. So since mine wasn’t used to begin with I will...

    Charcoal Can

Hey all getting ready to put the 454 back in my 73 GMC and guess I need to address this issue. When I took everything apart the fuel line to the can was fine, but the other two lines were literally just tucked down inside the fender. Where do the two live from the can go? G

    Questions about aftermarket kits

Hey everyone, I bought my daughter a 73 c1500 454 that came without factory AC, and as we reside in Texas AC is not optional. Wanting to get you guys opinions on the aftermarket kits that are available. Vintage air etc...the PO did an ac install but then cut the hoses and took out the...

Finally got a squarebody...for my daughter

The journey began yesterday as I rigged a horn to pass inspection as it appears there is no power getting to the horn relay, so another thing to look at. But after seeing the rats nest behind the dash I may just do a full or partial rewire to at least get rid of the bad wires and glass fuse...

Thanks for the encouragement and replies, dual plane will be the way to go (edelbrock performer air gap looks good), i am used to using single plane intakes on the strokers i have done in the past. I agree the drum brakes will stop it fine i just hate hate replacing brake shoes lol. G

Finally got a squarebody...for my daughter

Just wanted to say hi from Texas, I just purchased a 1973 sierra grande longbed 454 for my daughter. She is 14 so I have time to get the truck nice and purdy. Truck has 193k original miles and I am super stoked to get a new project that the wife approves of O_O. Truck is solid and runs and...
