Let's see those 4x4 Squares On Dirt!

Awesome, what great memories. I remember finding a huge set of 6x7 sheds while hiking outside the park when I was a kid. We had family working at the park and visited/stayed with them at the south village during holidays. It's convenient you could drive right up to it. The area I am hunting up...

want to add a return line with duel tanks?

87 is the only option for EFI, the sending units have provisions for an in-tank fuel pump. For any application using a carb, just use the appropriate year sending unit with 3 ports(Feed, Return, Vent). You should currently have a 2 port(Feed, Vent)...

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

I read that as he swapped the Spark Plug between the two cylinders. The harness shouldn't have enough slack to allow you to swap injector connectors, but maybe it does. If you switch to batch fire and swap injector connectors, how would that help narrow anything down? You would be firing an...

    M122 blown 5.3 in my 99 silveraydo

It's not a stack on, its a different PCM. You need a Terminator X MAX, not just a regular Terminator X. They DO make an add-on for the 6L80, but you still need to have the MAX version for it to work.

    M122 blown 5.3 in my 99 silveraydo

The pins from a 99 Black box will slide right into the Red/Blue or Green/Blue connectors. No need to use the other harness. Just repin to the Green/Blue that would have been on the 04 harness and plug in the P59 PCM. If you have HP Tuners you would need to buy the 2 credits to license the PCM...

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

That was going to be my suggestion. Per my post #42.. if you have verified that the wiring from #2 injector all the way back to the Terminator is good(at the right pin and less than 1 Ohm of resistance), then you MUST have a problem with the Terminator PCM. Either the injector #2 driver is...

    Terminator X Conversion - 1991 TBI

The three wire connector is for TCC lockup. You can probably leave all of that in place and run a holley sniper system... but personally I wouldn't even mess with any of it unless you have a major failure. At that point I would do an L31/4L60E swap including all factory wiring and LS PCM. It...

    Terminator X Conversion - 1991 TBI

Not according to the GM 1991 Suburban Vehicle information kit. 4L80 was only available for R models under 8600GVW. 8600GVW and above, and ALL V models got a 700R4 only. They had the same RPO code...

    Terminator X Conversion - 1991 TBI

Are you SURE you have a 4L80? I have never seen a 4L80 in a 1500... I was sure they were 3/4 and 1 ton only in 1991. The 91 4L80's are also unique in several ways and not necessarily desired. If you do end up doing some kind of swap, the easiest would be to take the entire...

    M122 blown 5.3 in my 99 silveraydo

Don't put an HD2 kit in it, they are a waste of money and the bypass will just stick and blow it up. Just manual dual feed it and do a sonnex boost and line to lube PR valve. I also did the Transgo AFL ream and replacement valve and TCC lockup valve while I had it apart. I used a Transgo...

Good R&R 16-gallon gas tank video?

Only place I've seen them is LMC. USA1 also has them listed, but they are mostly a reseller and they probably just buy them from LMC. You can get a strap kit and the anti-squek for like $25 total per side...

    Oil Pan ID

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the black one has an extra port you likely aren't going to need. Either for an oil level sensor or a temp gauge(or maybe a turbo return line). The other two look just like my truck pan. The car pans that wouldn't work are usually a front or middle sump...

250 inline 6 Stalling issue, new to me truck!

The fast idle screw will be the last thing you adjust. When you go to start a totally cold engine, you should press the throttle pedal all the way to the floor once and then let it up. This should allow the choke to pull shut and the fast idle screw will then rest on the fast idle cam as shown...

    LS rear main seal leaking

Yeah, but the barbell is UNDER the rear cover.

250 inline 6 Stalling issue, new to me truck!

Personally, I would start simple. Adjust the idle screw in so that the RPM isn't dropping low enough for it to stall. You likely need to go through the entire tuning process if the previous owner did not know what they were doing(sounds like they did not). First, make sure you have NO vacuum...

    LS rear main seal leaking

The oil level is below the pan rail and way below the main seal. What often happens is that someone doesn't properly align the rear cover when replacing the rear main seal and then it leaks at the corner where the rear cover and oil pan gasket meet. I had the same issue on mine when I did a rear...

    hypothetical, mpg

If you are willing to build the engine, I would rework the 250 to have a better head, roller cam, 9.0:1 compression. Then slap a turbo or supercharger on it and run fuel injection with a 4L60e. 10 bolt rear with 3.05 gears from a later model truck(like the one you get the 4l60 from) You could...

    Fitech force fuel pump

Should be pretty simple then. Hopefully you have a factory three port mechanical pump. If so, I'd switch to a 2 port pump and then use the factory return line from the mechanical pump as the return for the force pump. Pretty straight forward from there.

    8.1 vortec into 1979 k30

I wouldn't even bother buying a new cam. The stock cam is probably the best quality billet start you could get. I'd send the stock cam off to Delta Camshaft in Tacoma, WA or a similar local reputable cam manufacturer and have it reground to what you want. Alternatively, the ZZ502 cam is...

    What is this wire?

It was on one of the bellhousing bolts down the drivers side. The wire runs down behind the drivers side head and is held onto the transmission bell housing with that bracket, then plugs into the connector on the drivers side of the transmission.

    Fitech force fuel pump

I haven't seen anyone use one before, but basically just slam it in wherever convenient. What are you running it on that has both a mechanical fuel pump and needs 58PSI? Just an older original engine but with a sniper or similar TBI fuel injection system? I'd probably want to mount it on the...

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

Well, I can't say I'm surprised... but I'm sad that it came to this. It's definitely the worst case in my mind. Power for the injectors is a single pin through the injector connector direct to the main power relay. The odds of a single injector not getting power are low and would be isolated...

    What is this wire?

My 80 K25 has a TH400 and that same bracket with orange wire going down to the kick down. Energized by an electric switch on the gas pedal.

1984 K10 LS Swap - Lots of Little Problems

Grounds are a big one. Did you check the voltage as well at the connectors? Continuity is a big one, but voltage to the battery is also very important. Grounds from the Terminator back to the battery are also very important. Bad connection will increase the resistance and can cause damage. There...

    Ls 5.3 bolting to a TH400

If you are 2wd and using the TH400, you need to make a change in the PCM to tell it that you are using a non-electronic transmission. It won't need anything else to run right, because the TH400 will be mechanically shifting itself just like it did before the LS swap. You might want VSS to use a...
