What have you done to your square lately??

Our owner has a small dripper can in his Alfa area and he swears by it. But I've never used it cuz I just typically don't touch his stuff lol

    Engine Build

I'd highly suggest a mini-starter/high torque starter if the budget is there. For ease of install and also heat soak, the smaller starters are further away from the header

What have you done to your square lately??

I've never tried Kroil cuz I've never run across it in a store but I use the hell out of PB Blaster. Works great 99% of the time but man is that stuff nasty

    Fuel Smell

I'd bet the charcoal canister is full or you have a couple cracked/leaking lines from the carb to it

    Fuel Smell

Was gonna say, you still got the charcoal canister/emissions stuff under the hood?

What have you done to your square lately??

Chipping away a little at a time on the exhaust. Got from the X back to the axle done on the driver's side the last couple afternoons

    Chuck’s engine build thread!

Yeah I err'd on the wide side of the recommendation when I did my 5.3 in my '05. It's been perfectly fine

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

I've definitely gotten bad gas a handful of times in my life. As stated, it's usually just high water/moisture content. Makes the vehicle very unhappy

I Spy A Cool GM Truck

Spotted this pretty clean LBZ Duramax on Sunday when me and the GF stopped by a local brewery

350 and 4 speed manual removal

Easiest way would be to pull the front clip off and drag it out as an assembly. Or if you don't wanna mess with the sheetmetal, I'd still drag it out together. Just remove the hood and bring it out the top

Shifter help. Exhaust pipe in the way

Oh nowwww ya tell me now that I'm 3/4 of the way done with my exhaust :slap:

Still working on exhaust, the mess gets bigger and bigger every time I turn around lol

Shifter help. Exhaust pipe in the way

This is the only pic I have of when I put in my 5.3/4L60 combo. This is the Lokar universal shift rod kit they sell. Don't bother, it's hot garbage. Too flimsy, it would deflect every time and gear changes were very vague. I swapped back to my factory '85 T350 shift rod setup and used the...

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

Hmm, interesting. Didn't realize the newer trucks had reduced commanded fuel pressure that far

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

Fuel pressure is also my knee jerk suspect. 41 seems a bit low even in a variable pressure setup. I almost wonder if the regulator/bypass is getting weak so even though you see XX pressure supplied, that may not be what's actually getting to the injectors? Just a spit ball there

What new tools have you got lately?

I don't use bent nose pliers much but they're a godsend when you need them

This is the best option, even if it's labor intensive. It'll have the best end result

    Paint search

Man, that original silvery blue looks great on there, I'd stick with that if it were me personally. Or GM's light blue metallic that I have on my truck as the main color. I feel like a softer/lighter blue would look better against the white than a bright/in your face blue

    Camber issue

Yeah, he's talking about too much negative camber. I had 2.5" spindles and stock springs trimmed to probably 3" or so of drop. Never could get it better than roughly 2* of negative camber. I just ran it, still got 20-25k miles out of 2 different sets of front tires.

    Chuck’s engine build thread!

I'm *just* old enough to remember that. They instituted area codes here around the time I was 8-9yrs old. I know there's places that still don't use/need them but it's fascinating to me that they still exist. GA is growing so fast, they added 2 more area codes within the last decade and just...
