I Spy A Cool GM Truck

That's a Choo Choo Customs or one of those aftermarket "upfitter" company built trucks. Dealers would contract with them to have that done or you could send them your truck. The insides are usually as gaudy as the outsides lol. Def an '06/07 Classic GMT800

    Behind seat

I just had KilMat+Noico foam back when I had a bench seat. I just set stuff on top of the rear cross sill, never had a tray or anything back there Then when I did the buckets/console, I put the back cab panel carpet up that you can buy from several vendors. Used velcro all along under the...

    Replacement Seat Opinions

Oh absolutely. I hate seeing seats through the back glass. Not to mention, the headrests leaned forward a bit and were uncomfortable

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah my truck's mirror had fallen before I bought it so I just kinda held it up to where I liked it and then marked the glass roughly where the stem landed. I've since had 2 windshields put in it and did the same each time lol

    Fender to cowl seals

We carry the '81-87 version. I'm sure these would work on an early truck, though I haven't fit them onto one so not sure what that would entail https://www.autometaldirect.com/front-fender-to-cowl-seal-lh-81-91-chevy-gmc-c-k-pickup-blazer-jimmy-suburban...

What have you done to your square lately??

Can confirm, I've used the Permatex kit many times over the years and never had it fail on me. I also don't hang the mirror on the tab for at least 24hrs

Hello from Savannah, Georgia - 1986 C10 Silverado

Welcome from NE Ga. I know exactly where you are, drove through Pooler many times either going to Savannah or doing deliveries for the lumber yard I worked at while I was at Georgia Southern

Container based shop: 2 post lift placement advice?

You'd have to crawl out the back window, it's TIGHTTT. We shipped one earlier this year, no way you can get a door open and get out. A person can't even fit in between the truck and the walls. I actually got stuck trying to slide between, had to let the air out of the tires on one side to get me...

    Ditching Dual Tanks

Looks good! I've thought about a Boyd tank but man they're proud of them. My truck's a single tank and I've thought hard about just adding a second tank with a balance tube for a fill and plumbing in a transfer pump. My buddy's '86 is this way and it works great.

What have you done to your square lately??

That's what Ga changed to about 15yrs ago. It used to be paying taxes on whatever the bill of sale said you bought it for but too many people were taking advantage, so now they have a master book of values they go by. In ~2015 I got a '70 C10 for $1 from a family member cuz they wanted to see...

Forbidden Fuel Experiment: E85 In a Mostly Stock Square

I'm curious, why? Just as an experiment? At least you're in corn country where it's usually as cheap as or cheaper than regular. It's rare around NE Ga and way more expensive so it doesn't make any sense for us to run

    E85 conversions considering gas prices

I wish I lived in corn country where it's cheap but here, E is more than regular and even more than premium in some stations if you can even find it at all. I've run it in my flex fuel trucks in the past just out of curiosity when it was very close in price to regular. No noticeable power...

    Tailgate trunnion hinge repair

Talking about this? Nobody makes just the pivot piece that I've ever run across. They're spot welded in there. If you get a spot weld cutter and can salvage that piece, you might be able to use a freeze plug if you can find one the right size? Or go to a home improvement store and find some...
