    K5 Frame Crack Honest Opinion

If it's not obviously cracked, I wouldn't necessarily put yourself in a rush to get a brace kit installed. But I certainly would put one in at some point. I've seen plenty of 2wd C10s with cracked frames in the same spot, let alone a K5 on oversized tires. It's certainly worth the work for the...

    Subwoofers

For what you describe, one of those powered underseat subs that others have mentioned would probably fit the bill nicely

    Subwoofers

This is the first time I've used Skar and I have to say I'm impressed. I also have their 3.5s in the dash and 6.5s in the console, they all sound very good to my non-audiofile ear lol

    Subwoofers

Not with sound deadening and/or carpet. Had I kept the bench, I was going to build a rear-fire box for this truck. Long ago I had put 2 layers of KilMat and a layer of Noico closed cell foam on the floor and up the back wall of the truck. With that sound deadener there, that would've kept the...

    Subwoofers

Def not much room in these things with a bench. I went buckets/console and used a Sundown 8", built the box to fit inside the bottom of the console and have it downfiring. It'll overpower my exhaust and that's no easy feat! Also talking about amp/power, I've got a 900W Skar Audio...

I Spy A Cool GM Truck

It's actually fairly common around here, definitely a good looking swap!

    Subwoofers

One thing I've always thought was interesting is how everybody points the subs into the seat. Of all the setups I've had in my NBS trucks, only one of them was firing toward the seat and it sucked. I much prefer a downfire sub setup and have often thought about why they don't make single cab...

What have you done to your square lately??

I've got the RMS gen2 kit in my truck with the aftermarket green adjuster inserts/screws and they all aimed perfectly. Nice pattern to the lights, I've been very happy with them

What new tools have you got lately?

I haven't seen that style gearwrench torque wrench, I like that! All 3 of my torque wrenches are Gearwrench, I love them

This is exactly what my buddy does. He doesn't work on stuff near as often as me, so he doesn't have the multiple, multiple lights like I do. He had an unused/extra LED garage light and we just string it underhood of whatever I'm helping him with. It works pretty well

    LED tail light recs?

Oh trust me, it's a bummer for me too. There's no better looking light on the market and I LOVE the sequential flash. But I'm tired of having broken tail lights all the time

    LED tail light recs?

I'm contemplating these, waiting to see if they do another revision on them. They did have a bulb in the center originally and the perimeter was just a running light, I liked that better. Then they lost that vendor and changed them to be what they are now, not sure I like the current one...

    LED tail light recs?

Stay FAR FAR away from the United Pacific lights. I'm on my 4th set :893Chainsaw-Smilie- The lens shatters This was set #2: This is the current set, installed Jan 2025 and only drove the truck maybe 5k miles this year:

What new tools have you got lately?

Well, I didn’t steal it like @legopnuematic did but for $34 it was still a good deal. My store wasn’t doing the extra 50% off. Great little kit though, tossed it right behind the backseat of the NBS They also had this kit for the same price, I passed though since they weren’t ratcheting...

76 C30 LS swap fan shroud

I've seen guys use both an OE squarebody shroud and also a '99-04 Silverado shroud with clutch fans and it work. Depends alot on what mounts you're using and where everything lands. The easiest thing to do IMO is to get a Spectra OE replacement big block radiator and use Tejas Steelworks fan...

Mickey Thompson Rules The Freakin Planet

I always wanted to run a 33x15.50 MTZ on one of my NBS trucks, saw lots of guys on the GMFS forum running them. By the time I could afford them, they were discontinued

    Factory air cleaner/cold air setup?

I've not seen any use the driver's side, pretty sure they all used the pass side. But you could probably just rob extras of the pass side to make your own, I doubt it would be that hard other than welding the other snorkel to the lower housing (just cuz it's kinda thin metal)

Do we have a show us your shop thread?

Depends on the lift, a 10k or 12k pounder needs 6" but a 7k could get away with 4"

Was gonna say the same thing, can always have the areas where the lift posts would go dug up and footers poured

    New to Squarebody's. Need assistance

Welcome from Ga! That's a beautiful truck! I don't know that that's a factory color, but you should have a small 3x2" or so sticker in the glovebox with a bunch of codes on it. Take a pic and post that up, we can help decode it
