cargo light/ 3rd brake light install

Lies. It's always scary to cut on your truck lol

cargo light/ 3rd brake light install

That seam is where the back cab panel and roof panel pinch weld together. So that flange goes straight inward and is about 3/4" wide. Then there's the inner roof structure a little over 1" from the back cab panel. I've thought about doing this myself but not sure I've got the balls

    New trim

No offense OP, but you're over thinking it. Just install the trim and move on with life, rinse behind it real good at each wash like Andy's talking about.

    Upper Door seal question

I put those extra upper seals on my '85 a few years back. Helped with wind noise a bit. Everything I did helped a little at a time, sound deadener, new door seals, then those upper door seals. The next thing is the vent windows. I'd say put them on, it can only help

    Power Tour 2026

This is my problem, my truck was originally an AC truck and has a solid back glass. I haven't had AC since I did the AC swap. Our '76 non-ac shop truck is 100% cooler in the summer cuz of the floor vents and the rear slider over my truck

    Power Tour 2026

Oh I certainly won't let the complainers keep me from doing it at least once. I guess I was just shocked to start hearing that the last couple years cuz before that, I've only ever heard people talking about how awesome it is. That's all. As soon as I have AC in my truck so my dad doesn't stroke...

Radiator Support Bushings: Is this correct?

Just as a side note to add another option, Tinworks Fab makes nice body/radiator mounts as well if you don't care that they don't look OEM. I've got them on my truck, they offer the later large hole as well as the earlier small hole

    Power Tour 2026

Yeah, I guess the route/what venue it is plays a big role too. I heard lots of horror stories from Charlotte and Atlanta Motor Speedway. I'd say most people are still positive about it but I do hear more and more grumbling as time goes on. One of these days I'll try it myself to see first hand...

    Power Tour 2026

Me and my buddies were talking about PT yesterday. It's been a bucket list thing all my lift but I've heard from alot of people how miserable it is now. Sitting in god awful traffic for hours on end, especially to get into each stop. Nothing super cool at each stop, just speedways typically...

Sorry for your loss but glad he still had some humor left up to the end

    Fuk u

If you have a truck, why do you want to delete the account? This is one of the best forums overall that are still active and definitely the best squarebody one

    Factory Underside paint?

Mine was pretty much black. Any overspray that would've been there when new had worn off over the years

Radiator Support Bushings: Is this correct?

Yes, sorry. I'm so scattered today. 1 5/8" is what that hole actually is @Sad Sack

Radiator Support Bushings: Is this correct?

ID is right about 2 5/8"

    Taillight question

I would probably put some dabs of either grease or maybe a grease pencil on your tail light backing plate. Install it best you can, then remove and see where it made marks. That's where you start trimming. I'm glad you posted pictures showing the opening, that's pretty ugly and I'd bet those...

What new tools have you got lately?

Very cool, thanks for the insight! I guess that means this wrench is probably from the 40s or older maybe?

What have you done to your square lately??

I wonder if anything is still made here for those Demon carbs since Holley bought them? Prob not. When Barry Grant owned it, everything came out of Dahlonega, Ga, about 45min from AMD.

What have you done to your square lately??

Man, I wanted to do that to my truck this go-round but I've run out of time and also not sure it would stick to the bedliner that's under the cab (that's not completely adhered to the cab anymore either lol). Looks great though!

What have you done to your square lately??

My buddy Phil can do them, I plan to have him make me a custom one once the truck is done. Idk if it's listed on his site, but if you send him and email, he can get ya taken care of https://cannscustoms.com/

    Body trim molding 1977

Yeah, we carry it at AMD, though it's not the '77 specific gold trim. But you could have a pinstriper paint it or something along those lines

    Ford 460 project

Yikes. I'd be shocked if that cylinder didn't at least need a good hone job. Could be a cool project when you're done though! We bought a '79 F250 last year that has a warmed over 460 that supposedly has a small cam in it. The Holley's junk so we've never really driven it but I plan to tinker...

What new tools have you got lately?

Ordered a brake flaring tool off Amazon per a couple buddy's recommendations. Then stopped by HF for the line bender and got the Quinn screwdrivers as my ITC freebie
