    Suburban roof replacment

@w-cummins how did this replacement go? I have a roof in much worse condition than yours. My '88 V10 factory roof rack studs all rusted out on me, plus I have the same front/rear door jam rot. I have a '83 2500 donor. Just trying to plan my attack.

    No crank, no start.

Starter replaced. Problem solved. For future troubleshooters, I had started and stopped the Suburban maybe 10 times the day it died. So it is possible to have a starter just die on you. Thanks both of you @Ricko1966 @legopnuematic

My bad. SMH. Jumpered the Battery and "S" and all I got was some sparks and an occasional knock. I'll take it as a bad starter. Thank you both! I'll report back with hopefully good news!

@legopnuematic the rod definitely moves when I turn the ignition while in park.

    No crank, no start.

Thank you @legopnuematic. It looks like I'd have to pull the steering wheel to open it up to inspect. Damn. I tried changing the tilt and starting with no luck. I'll start a new thread post when I get home. Thanks for your help!

    No crank, no start.

Why ask about the tilt column? I don't want to hijack this thread, I'll start a new one but I'm curious? I have my dash semi- apart, exposed steering column, '88 Suburban V10 (square body) was running all morning. My 3 year old wanted to play with the wheel so he was in the driver seat doing...
