What have you done to your square lately??
Extra bypass may be another effect, but they're usually made with a restriction because heater cores can moan during acceleration if they're not flow restricted. -
What new tools have you got lately?
I have a LOT of S-K and unfortunately, they've had financial problems on and off for a long time. They're currently owned by a Chinese tool company and apparently they still honor the warranty. I'm not fond of them being owned by a Chinese company, but just like Shop-Vac, better Red than dead. -

K10 14bolt swap now rear brakes lock up before the front
I've had both. The pickup had the JD7 brakes from the factory, and I duplicated the same specs when I upgraded the axles on the Suburban. Both trucks had the same issue. When the LSPV malfunctioned on the pickup, and since I hadn't initially installed it when I did the Suburban. Violent...- Blue Ox

GMT400s wouldn't have used it because they had RWABS or later full ABS. The squarebody trucks used it, and it was for all intents and purposes "double-stacked."- Blue Ox

Here we go again... First off, you need to get the right brakes in the front. Second, LSPV. Load Sensing Proportioning Valve. It's the height sensing valve that modulates the rear brakes when the truck is unloaded. Plenty of people will swear it doesn't make a difference, but the two Squares...- Blue Ox

K5 Frame Crack Honest Opinion

Correct. We ordered the truck without a spare (long story about false economy and nagging wives) and we still got a jack. What we didn't get besides a wheel and tire was the spare tire carrier and crossmembers to support it. So for almost forty years we drove around with the spare in the bed... -
Hydro boost brakes sometimes get very tight
We cooked a lot of hydro boosts with ATF. Repeat seal failures until we switched to PS fluid. Things may be different today, but when the truck was new ATF was a problem. -
Do we have a show us your shop thread?
Most of the guys who put them in around here have to have footings poured for the posts regardless of the slab thickness. They seem pretty affordable, maybe talk to a supplier and see what they're offering. -

Barn find 6.2 precautionary measures
A stuck injector will sound like a rod coming out of the block. With the engine idling, loosen the injector lines one at a time. When the knock stops, you've found the culprit.- Blue Ox

Agree in principle, and I don't want to sound like a bunny hugger. But I'm wondering how much lead is in that food. -
New For Me 1985 Silverado 20 6.2 Diesel
Did the 700R4 come out of a diesel truck? The diesel transmission had a low stall converter and a different governor calibration. You'll also need to adapt the TV cable to the inj pump throttle. Just asking.- Blue Ox

Based on the rust, unless you have water in your P/S fluid I'd go with the master is leaking. -
