What have you done to your square lately??

Flame polishing. Little Tykes uses it on their toy cars when they come out of the mold and they recommend it to their customers when they get scratched or scuffed. I didn't know it was workable for our plastics, but it makes sense that it does. Wave a flame fast across the plastic to put a...

Hope you're willing to let it go for a reasonable price. Then someone might find an urgent need.

How to measure 14 bolt drum?

AFAIK the only difference in the front brakes was the calipers and pads. The specifics of the JB6 and JB7 brakes thing may be from the '81 redesign. I'd have to check a book that I don't have in front of me now. But I'm pretty sure the idea carried through the whole line.

How to measure 14 bolt drum?

It's ID. There's two 20 series, standard and C6P heavy duty. It has the 13" drums and uses bigger calipers and D153 pads. Standard uses 11" drums and D52 pads. They all use the same rotors, so I have no idea WTF they're talking about.

Sometimes, if they're stone dead the charger won't start because it doesn't see a battery. If you can hook the battery to a DC power supply or another battery and get some voltage into it the charger might pick it up and charge it. Just a thought.

Cucv 6.2 diesel CDR valves with tubing

I'm sure GM was facing some regulation or they'd just use a road-draft tube.

Cucv 6.2 diesel CDR valves with tubing

It's the crankcase ventilation for a diesel. Since there's no vacuum it can be a little more challenging to control than on a gasser.

I despise the WalMarts and Harbor Freights of the world differently than I despise the American brands that built their reputation and brand on American manufacturing and then outsourced to fourth world communist countries but still charge US prices. The only saving grace that Harbor Freight...

Do these racing stripes work on this square?

Why not consider vinyl? Just in case you're not as happy with it as you expected, you can take them off.

Do these racing stripes work on this square?

Who's going to see the roof? I'd go with either hood only or maybe hood and gate. Don't the Rams have stripes on the gate sometimes? I'm not sure if I like that look. But hey, personal preference and your truck. Do whatever you like best.

How slow is your daily driver?

Hours. I had an '80. My first car, and my last Volvo. Even with the 5 speed I think it was 18 seconds 0-60. But it got 35 MPG. Not bad for a car with a drag coefficient that didn't start with a decimal. The other good thing about it,... well probably the only actual good thing, was it was a...

really need the experts on this, runs beautiful won't move

I agree, it has all the hallmarks of clutch not disengaging. That lack of pressure until the pedal is almost on the floor says the same thing. I wonder if starting it in gear would prove anything other than, it can move on its own.

really need the experts on this, runs beautiful won't move

Wait, it's IN neutral? Put it in high range. Leaving the case in neutral will just let everything spin up. I made that mistake once with my truck. Granted it's an auto, but I had to shut the engine off to get everything stopped just to get it into park. Never thought it was possible to grind an...

What have you done to your square lately??

The transmission shop that put the welded drain plugs in mine put them in the vertical sides (back) of the pans. I had originally put drain kits in the pan bottoms, but not having them sticking down where they can be ripped off on something in the road or a rock or whatever seemed like a better...

Brake Booster or Master Cylinder ISSUE?

Bad booster will make it feel like you're trying to crush a garbage can with your foot. If the pedal sinks easily it's a hydraulic problem. I'd start by bleeding more. If you just did work and now have a problem I'd be looking at the work first. What about the slack adjustment?

Any squarebody van guys? Got a odd question.

Weld the piece you cut off to the other side. Basically shift the factory pad over. Maybe? I do agree that some kind of pad is necessary. Wet, bare metal is as slippery as ice.

The TDI came with a locking gas cap, but no key. I kept the big Channelocks in the car for almost a year before I finally got a new gas cap.

Two-footed driving is done often in racing. I mean, you've got two feet and there's two pedals.... It's even more entertaining with a three pedal vehicle. But we shift with one hand and steer with another, so multitasking isn't anything new. Left-foot braking feels awkward at first, but it's...

Any squarebody van guys? Got a odd question.

We should start a club. I have the same problem with the Corvette. FWIW, brake pedal arms are not ordinary mild steel. I'm not sure if they're hardened or just high strength steel, but I'd be wary of welding, heating and bending. When you speak of moving the pedal down, are you saying...
