I have a dilemma now. Not sure how to proceed on this seat. I found the fabric and vinyl but boy is it going to be expensive. A cover for my seat is going to run nearly the cost of an entire seat replacement from lmc. I will probably order it but sheesh it’s going to sting. I’ll be in it over...- TravisB

It was brothers trucks. The antenna cord just pressed onto the bottom of the of the base. It’s been raining so I haven’t driven it to see how the tunes come in yet.- TravisB

Over this winter, I am putting in a new radiator and antenna if nothing goes wrong. I am also going to try to find the cloth and vinyl to recover the seat and get the saddle blanket off there. I ordered some samples today to see if I can match it up.- TravisB

Southeastern Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals - Lebanon, TN July 7 & 8
This was a pretty cool show. This year was the first time I got to attend and it was hot but I guess that is expected for July in TN. I got down there on Saturday and checked it all out. There was a fellow with a 77 that was almost the same color combo my truck will be. -

I am giving some serious thought to doing this cab vent trick... I noticed that the vent doesn't fit tight and he says he is going to glue it to make sure it doesn't leak. Not really a tool either but I did hang a TV over the tool box yesterday. Ignore the mess, this is evidently the best I can do :P -

I don't know who makes the ratchet heads for Matco but they feel better than the Tektons I have. Not by a huge margin or anything but some better. The Tekton flex head has a more positive flex joint than whatever you can scheme up with a hybrid like this. I only have a 1/4" snap-on to compare to... -

I would hope the handle is tougher since the handle accounts for 80% of the cost. You’ll be doing without the warranty too and you’re probably better off getting the whole tool if you have the tool guy visiting you anyway. -

I guess I could also mention that I have made a few Matco Ratchet bastards but I think they are putting the squeeze on that deal these days. If you don't know, you could buy the Matco flex heads as a replacement part for less than 35 bucks and pickup a breaker bar from harbor freight for under... -

I might hit you up for a starter and alternator. I’ll have to see if I have a good one. I have came up with 4 of these ls engines since you were last by to visit. 2 had been through fires, one underwater after a hurricane and one wrecked so hard the block is broken. Advice for rebuilding a 350 on a budget
I let my dad have the block that had ate the cam. He’d been looking for a core to build a 383 from and his was at 60 over and needed work again. I stuck the block from my truck under the workbench and started making plans for an ls swap.- TravisB

When the older guy was torching off the powder coat you could see the flame in the gaps of the bar brackets. They were just tacked on too. :/ -

If it spits paint out the front and not down my arm I will probably be impressed :D I am not a real painter either and probably wouldn't even start to paint something I had to buy an automotive grade paint for. That stuff is way to expensive for my skill level. These will be to prevent rust on... -

I picked up a couple of the HF purple paint guns today. I painted my stock trailer with their electric hvlp gun and was pleased with the results but not with the cleanup of it so I thought I would try out the air version this round.
