    Backfeed into the dash, battery light would come on (truck not running so duh). That was the thing i noticed. Post diode the light stays off when the truck is off.

    This is the one i have. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/10144/10002/-1 It says one wire but it can run that way or with the two wires in a clip as well. I have it hooked up with the clip to do what you described. With key off i was getting backfeed through wire 1 of the two.

    It's brand new. Jegs 1 wire. Charging very well

    I hooked up a one way diode on the alt control wires to stop the backfeed. I can leave the positive hooked up now.

    Yup, slice it lengthwise on the side and slip it around the striker. Helps it shut easier.

    Get in the cab and have someone hose it down. Mine leaks and i suspect the door seals. I've heard the job is a PITA not that it makes the door harder to shut. You know the 1/2" pex trick?
