Broken hearted kid and fuel system

Good points raised up. With all this effort, why not bypass everything and get one tank with fresh lines and an electric pump hooked up? If it still doesnt run, then yeah we need to look at other parts of the truck.

    Getting quotes for paint/body work

DIY is the only option for me. Or like others have said. Id be upside down on the value big time. Watch youtube, and decide if their result was good enough for you. Pole barn garage does a really great series on a k10 (i think) that involves a ton of sanding.

Taking off passenger head about 37 bolts so far

Late to the party. But stop and go to youtube. Theres loads of content around old chevys. Dont trash the truck cuz the drivetrain is toast. Unless the truck is rusted to hell. Like someone else said, comparing a lawnmower to a truck just isnt applicable. You have the engine out, tear it...

If you slide down underneath can you get access to all bolts on the pan? If so, i would think you could remove it

Few months ago. Rust only in the rockers and where the door seals no longer sealed. Almost 100% stock inside and out. 350 with turbski 400. C20 ~custom deluxe~ 3+3 long bed. Damn thing is LONG. Three lane of space required to make a u turn lol. Parking it can sometimes be like that Austin...
