How to ID 16" 8 bolt wheels?

My truck came to us wearing a set of Ford wheels. There is a Ford stamp on each of them proclaiming so. I can see yours have some stamps on them, is there a makers mark on the front or the back?- Catbox

Why doesn't anyone use the Chevy "Connect & Cruise" packages?
I would believe that the initial buy in price of that package makes most people back away. Sourcing junkyard parts takes that sting away or even buying a running driving vehicle to take all the parts from is more feasible.- Catbox

It goes in a pile in the yard until I either need it again for something else, recycle it, or somebody else needs something. Currently my back yard is a dump of all things vehicular and needs some serious cleaning and sorting. There are lots of things that just need to be sorted and recycled... -

Gun Rack Spacing
I dunno about spacing, but make sure the hooks are not behind your head. My buddies truck came with one that was super obnoxious as we both were hitting our heads on them. -
Muffler recommendations
Do you have full tailpipe exhaust? What size? As that will also affect the sound. On my truck, the 454 is incredibly quiet while breathing through the Jones Flow Pack single chamber mufflers. I suspect that is due to the low compression of the stock-ish engine. Mine ends just before the axle...- Catbox

But then I would have to invest in $4000 of computers and training and plugs and learning. The swap is easy, getting it to run correct is the part that will drive you nuts. I can buy an awful lot of fuel for that $4k investment and the current big block. :happy107:- Catbox

With the extra fast speed racing SM465 manual dump truck box. It is such a not speed racery kind of transmission, but it is what is in there currently. When the L-29 goes in, I will be replacing the SM465 with a 4L80 and be just that much cooler. I might even get 13 MPG then...- Catbox
