Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

UPDATE: Removed Blower motor switch from the HVAC controls. Disassembled the switch (whatch out theres 4 springs and a small ball bearing) found the once "grease" dried up and caused there to be no connection between the contacts on the dial and switch body. Cleaned and reinstalled. LO,M1,M2...

Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

No such luck with a sick move like that. I've got some down time at the shop today and plan to switch radios again, so I'll have the bezel off. I'll test the switch end of things, just want to see the PN before I order a new one. I'll update things later today.

    TBI No Fuel Condition

If you melted the ECMB fuese, you might check the ecm connectors to make sure all that is okay. along with checking the back of the fuse block. is 12v getting to the pump from truc wiring? Can you hook a test light to the injector connectors and see the light pulse when cranking? Any other...

Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

Warrantied the relay for another OEM ACDelco GM#19288389 and I'm still in the same situation. Blower motor ONLY runs on LO, Unless I go under the hood and Tap the relay, Specifically with the switch set to HI (M1&M2 do NOT work). I have a resistor on order with NAPA, but that was recently...

Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

Once off hi, if I switch it back to hi I have to tap the relay again to get it to work. I'm having my parts guys order me a new one on gm warranty. Might do the same with the resistor. I will check voltages from the switch when selecting m1, m2, and hi. Just haven't done that yet. Figured it...

Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

My fan only works on low. Unless I switch it to HI, then tap the relay under the hood.

Tapping the Blower fan relay makes my blower motor work

So here's the deal. A while back my blower motor went out. Put in a new Delco part and all is well. Now come December and the controls Intermittently work ( low, m1, m2, Hi). Then, they stop working. New Delco resistor, and relay were installed. Blower motor will work when controls are switched...

    88-91 antenna base

I bought, GM Genuine Parts 15829166 off the Ole Scamazon and I Don't recommend it unless you are willing to "Make" it work, it dose not fit the square burbans.

    350 tbi timing

Hey all, I was reading through this post before I went and checked my Base timing on the ole 91 Tbi burban. I disconnected the advance wire (tan and black) and got her up to temp. The PO had timing set at (approx.) 14Degrees Atdc! This made the old 350 make some sweet back firing noises on a...

Jeep Cherokee steering shaft on non power steering gear box

I'd take a look at the inputs for the gearboxes on Pwr Steering then NON Pwr Steering trucks and go from there. As long as they look like the Pwr steering ones it should work fine. I had to use a bit of a longer bolt to attach the shaft to the column portion of my 91 but otherwise they're...

Found a cool old MSD video. I now under stand the differences and know this will work. Glad to know others have done similar set ups on here though. It's super cool!

Anyone here setup HEI and a MSD on their 87-91 tbi small block??

I'm about to install this same setup. Would a MSD 6AL (part #6420) be the same be pretty much the same as a 6A? I think that's the only difference I have here. I'm getting the 8226 coil and the 8876 harness, so its fairly well plug and play. was just given this old 6AL and I'm hoping I can use it.

    Dealer installed ac

I'd verify your power to the switch and test to see if its going through. If that's all good check grounds. I personally haven't taken apart one of those controls yet, but if you can, maybe try to clean up the contacts on the switch. I've had a lot of luck with older electronics just by cleaning...
