    Door hinge pin replacement

    I searched on here and couldn't find any thing related. I have a 81 K10 that seems to need the hinge pins replaced. I have googled the problem and everyone either has the door all the way off or the are cutting the hinge pin in half with a cutting torch lol. Is there not a simpler way to do this?

    I jsut purchased a 81 K10 that originally came with the 4.1 and someone swapped in a 307, so you can imagine how my wiring is under the hood. How hard would it be for you to build a hraness or would it be cheaper just to go to a salvage yard and yank one?

    On my 81 k10, the rod attached to the pedal screws on to the rod coming from the booster. I replaced mine today and you have to free it from the pedal

    It won't cause any problems? Figured the axle would move too much. And I guess I'll back the nut off to take a little pressure of the bearings

    it might be, i was wondering that but since it was 5am and i had been working on it for about 10 hours, i was done lol. Im gonna try to push in and pull out a t the same time and see. I did notice that the drivers axle shaft had 2 notches for clips but the passenger side only had the one.

It had some major issues and had to do a full rebuild on it and have got it all back together and am trying to get the new Mile Marker locking hub on the passenger side nad can't get the axle to come out...
