    Red Oxide Primer

    Could you not just use a primer/ sealer over the red oxide ? IIRC it is a thin coating made to give a quality base . idk

    You might also try AUVECO . They specialize in automotive fasteners .

    I would suspect door jam switches .

    No dash lights

    May need to pull the cluster and check the bulbs . Could also replace with led bulbs , much brighter . Good luck !!!
