I began my mechanical machinations at about age 12. Started out on gas powered law mowers and electric hand-held power tools. Am now 70+ and still maintain all of my own equipment which includes autos, pickups, a motorhome, yard tools and a 1967 Allis-Chalmers diesel track hoe. Worked on small airplanes for 20 years including two Cessna 172's that we owned and flew for about 15 years.
The Chevrolets (GM also) that we have owned over the years: 1977 Luv; 1964 C20 Cheyenne; 1974 Vega; 1981 K20 3+3; 1977 GM K20; currently the 1980 C10 plow truck.
12 years ago we needed a snowplow to keep our 900 foot long driveway passable during the winter. This 1980 came up on Craigslist just 10 miles from home. Bought it within one hour.
We live in the mountains of north Idaho. Our 20 acres is 2 miles up a privately maintained dirt/gravel road.
