    Quadrajet rebuild problems

That does help, thank you. I'll verify timing and adjust screws tomorrow, and report back. Wish I had an insulated garage

    Quadrajet rebuild problems

Rebuilt the carb on the truck after fighting various idle troubles, and pulled intake a distributor to reseal front and rear China walls. Put it all back together, and it won't start. Tries and almost catches, but doesn't start. I'm pretty sure I did the rebuild right, doing small engine stuff...

What have you done to your square lately??

Fresh shocks all around, and a carb rebuild with well plug seal. My how nice it is to have time off to work on things.

    Th400 Torque Converter Shaft Seal

Read up on the bushing and figuring I'll replace it as long as the trans is out, because it seems to be a common source of leaks on higher mileage transmissions like mine. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

    Th400 Torque Converter Shaft Seal

Thank you for the response. Totally right, I might be losing my mind lol. Rockauto had pump seal and torque converter seal separate so I assumed different things.

    Th400 Torque Converter Shaft Seal

Going through the truck fixing up leaks and such, and figured I would replace the torque converter shaft seal while the transmission will be dropped for front pump seal replacement, just to be safe while it's out. Was looking around, and didn't find much on it, so figure I'd ask where it's...

    Turn signal troubles

Thanks for the diagram. Much appreciated. Fresh bulb, and brake is also out unfortunately, so most probably a ground issue. I'll check andreport back

    Turn signal troubles

Rear harness under bumper has been the source of past problems, hence the trailer harness delete. I'd think grounds would be the source of trouble here, I'll look into some diagrams.

    Turn signal troubles

All I did was tap into the brown for liscense plate lights, brown being running lights and side markers. Those still work. Trailer wiring has been spliced off for months, no problem. I took the liscense plate lights back off, and no change. I assume I bumped something, so I was looking for help...

    Turn signal troubles

Got a new bumper, disconnected all wiring, splicing off trailer wiring, adding new liscense plate lights to constant brown. All was well, then no right rear turn signal. All bulbs are good, running lights work there, but no flashers or turn signal on that side. Dark green feeding in from rear...

Shockingly he did, but it was absolutely a paid restoration. Talked about how only people with money or who inherited can own good classics... lol

Mr. Paid restoration had a very perfect bland truck, which he quickly directed my attention to post disapproving look at my rig. For some reason I gravitate towards the cars that can be driven as intended without worry, so tough cars appeal to me.

Totally didn't get it, but these are the gated community paid restoration guys, sooooo... Personally I'd welcome a new guy if I saw him, not slide less-than-subtle digs in.

Oh I absolutely agree. This thing is still a utility rig just as much as it was 20 years ago. Short beds are laughable in my eyes, I've got a truck to use for truck things.
