Here is a video of the amount of "slop" at the rear differential of my Crew Cab C20. All U-joints and carrier bearing are brand new. Is this an acceptable amount of play or should I be concerned?
I really haven't had any trouble with the kick panel speakers. They are just a bit in the way, but after a while you get used to them. The sound out of them is great, as it sends the sound up to you instead of the seat. All in all I really like them.
Currently mine is just a 454 bored .030 over. Cam is 212/218 duration at .050, peanut port heads, CR around 8.5 to 1. This was done by the previous owner, but he gave me the receipts to back it up. I have since put on a performer intake, msd ignition, msd dizzy, eddy carb, and it runs great...
That's awesome news on the heads!!
I'd go with something in the 225-235 @.050 duration range. These engines need some cam to wake them up, especially if you stroke it. If my big block ever gets replaced, it will be a 489 with around 225 @ .050 duration and I use it to tow a 10,000 lb fifth...
As for the heads, no way would I spend $1500 for Eddy heads when I could spend $2200 and have AFR heads. The AFR 265 heads are badass on 454 or a street 489/496.
As to the stroking it, do it. No replacement for displacement. If you have to grind the crank you can kick in $300 and gain 30...
I have one of these Alpine subs behind the seat in my '89 Dodge D100 Reg Cab, and it has about the same space behind the seat as a square.

And yes...
Actually, I think I was good to go all healed up from my surgery, just didn't get to enjoy it very long. lol
Now debating whether I was 100% in the head.........well that's better left for a different day! :happy175::happy175::happy175::happy175:
Some of the logistics are taken care of. My vehicle that was totaled has been paid for. As to the injuries and all that, its not settled until I am healed.
As to the illegal, I've heard immigration won't make a run up to my part of the state unless there are several of them to pick up at...
Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Bad thing is my interior is completely 100 redone as of this past summer/fall. This wreck had really made me think of all my options. Do I 1) drive it as is and realize life isn't lived in a bubble, knowing that I'll be hauling my wife and 3yo and 5yo kids...
I was knocked so stupid at the scene that I didn't really know much of what was going on, I was just in pain. Now that I can move all I need is 15 seconds alone with the sorry bastard and the world will have one less problem in it. Clean up would take longer than 15 seconds though.......
