im goin to slap myself REALLY hard if that's the problem! The rotor button looks fine and my 65 yo buddy concurred (age= knowledge). ill swing by napa 1st thing in the AM and grab one up.- mhelms83

yes there's fuel from the injectors, and bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, my right side of my body confirms there's spark from the coil.:)- mhelms83

i dint get any codes from the check engine light. ive owned the truck for 2 1/2 years and have never seen the check engine light, even when i tried testing the ECM. the motor was replaced with a new crate motor about 7 years ago, it has 56xxx miles on it. trans replaced when i bought it.- mhelms83

i used i different reader and it has a setting where it beeps continuously and says "short", when the pos. probe is connected to the white terminal and the neg. probe to a ground it reads "open". am i headed in the right direction?- mhelms83

im not sure on how to do a continuity test using my multimeter. but the white wire from the black harness to the ign mod has power at the ign mod plug- mhelms83

* no power at the harness when its unplugged. but i think that smaller gauge wire brings power from the coil to the ign. mod. am i right?- mhelms83
