When it comes to automotive mechanical or electrical, I fight battles I can win. I am frugal if possible although I shoot for quality repairs or upgrades. I choose utility over beauty when it comes to trucks. My new motto is "Perfection is the enemy of Done" My pops was a certified aircraft technician with the 22 regiment for 25 years. He made sure I could twist wrenches with skill. I am a master electrician by trade. Safety first. I worked with Canadian Electric Vehicles mainly on the airport 12000 lb fuel trucks as a technologist when there was only EV1 cars being tested. All our R&D was in house. I own a backhoe and excavator and do most of the maintenance and welding. I have a small private stash of cars trucks and vans here on the back 40. I love my GMC and Chevy trucks and vans. I do have a 1975 Ford Camper Special with a 460. I let it sit in the grass and put the time into my 1976 GMC Camper Special.
