Ok guys, today I had the fortune of getting an 82 GMC NOT RUNNING OFF COURSE. It came with a 6.2 th400 np261 and 3.73 gears. Along with the hydro boost brake system. Hey all. Hello from Oregon.
That's bad ass I'm list starting on Monday going to keep it on the stock side. I'm in the process of getting 2 more 1 is a 2 wheel drive and one is a lifted 4 wheel drive. Yeah I'm thinking about going to 3.42 or 3.73 but for the most part I drive 2 miles in town and and 11 miles highway at 55 mph so it's up in the air at the moment. And about those Ford plugs.... Nah I'm good. I'm GM all the way. Or nothing.- Les Maples

Ok day 2 and I stopped to fill up I'm glad to say after 46 miles I only filled up with 3.86 gallons. That's almost 12. MPG. That's a big difference. I want to thank all of you that have me a helping word- Les Maples

Ok did a compression test and all 8 are in the 164- 167 range so what I'm understanding this is good. I reset my timing to 8 degrees past tdc I'm having good power no idle issues and it's running smooth. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my mpg increases. We will see in the next few days- Les Maples
