    With a vacuum gauge and timing light. There should be a rapid drop in vacuum when you open the throttle accompanied by an immediate increase in timing. If there is a lag in the timing increase or if it doesn't increase until the mechanical advance kicks in then your vacuum advance isn't working...

    Is your vacuum still at 19"? I've had small vacuum leaks cause a stumble. Another thing to check would be proper operation of your vacuum advance. Remember most carburetor problems are actually ignition problems. Also, does it stumble with a light throttle or if you really stomp on it or both...

    My first post here. I'm running an 81 gmc, 3/4 ton 2wd. Its had a few minor electrical issues since I got it just under a year ago. The only ones that bugged me are the mostly not there dash lights, and the headlights. Standard issues there. Dim, broken adjusters, and the high beams only worked...

    Hi from Oregon

    Just found the forum and signed up so I figured I'd say hi. I'm running an 81 gmc camper special with the custom order "I'm never gonna actually haul anything" package. Soon to be swapped for a full 86 1 ton rear suspension and anti sway.
