    Front 2-3" Springs

For me the bilstein's rode stiffer on the hwy. but not by much, then off road they were way better for higher speeds, for crawling I could not tell the difference really

    Front 2-3" Springs

For me the 270's work very good with the skyjacker springs in the rear but so did the white body shocks for low speed, as for hauling ass through the dessert the 270's were way better,(more control , less bouncy). Maybe run dual 170/60's bilstein's , I thought about that but kind of costly. I...

    Blue Print or GM Performance

I went with the gm performance (sp/357) crate engine. Rips pretty well in my k-5, 357hp, 409tq, roller cam, vortec heads.

    Front 2-3" Springs

I just posted on your shock thread, and just wanted to say I have the skyjacker soft ride 8's with a zero rate 1" block's for 9" total with the bilstein 5165's , 255/70 shocks. My k-5 does really well on and off road with this combo,

Fox 2.0 vs. Bilstein 5125 Comparison

I have fox 2.0's on lifted my 2022 gmc service truck and they ride like a dream, I know that's different animal than your k-5 but just letting you know the 2.0's are a great shock. My 77 k-5 has bilstein 5165 shocks all around , 255/70 valving and they work really well. I had white body hydro...

What size lift to clear 40s?

9 inches of lift , 8 inch springs with 1 inch 0 rate blocks, crossover steering a must in my opinion, 38's with a little fender trim and i still touch the fender's sometimes and i wheel it hard as well

Seeking carburetor guidance, vacuum vs mechanical secondary

First off it would be huge if you knew the compression and cam spec's , but anyhow since your cap, rotor, plugs, wire's are new you should be good there but as far as carb. tuning goes you need to have the timing right first before you even think about the carb. A low compression 454 with stout...

    New 350HO issue

I have the sp350/357 gm motor in my 77 k-5, (basically the same as the 350 h.o. but with a larger roller cam) and it was a bit lame on the bottom end out the gate. So I went to timing first, ( I am at 5,000 feet elevation) and the sp350 really liked a lot of initial timing. Its now set at 16...

    Off road wheels.

That really suck's, I have used a lot of bart wheels over the years. I still have one set for my blazer's mud tire's, guess I will keep these forever

Anyone have Bilstein shocks on their stock 4x4? Shock brand questions.

The bilstein's I put on work really well for controlling bounce off road compared to white body hydro shocks I had before but my ride on the pavement got a little stiffer. The bilstein's I have are 255/70 valving, 70 compression, 255 rebound.

    Header/Exhaust thoughts

I dont think you are paying for name when the summit small block headers are 18 gauge tubes at 1 1/2 inches and the hedman 's are 14 gauge tubes at 1 5/8 inches. The summit headers have a .313 flange and hedman's are .375 flange. So the hedman's are for sure way more header than the summit...

    Header/Exhaust thoughts

I myself would not go with cheap headers , look at hedman elite heavy duty , .375 flange thickness, 14 gauge tubes, 15/8 tubes, ball and socket lower flange, etc... you will be better off in the long run.
