    I'm sure your all over that you need the expandable straight hones to clean up a bore, and the dingle balls just put a cross hatch finish on to hold an oil film. If you use the balls to "re-furb" a bore, they will not hold a true straight wall, and just follow any bulges or ridges already there ..

    Leaf Spring Torque

    Also, I would drive the truck a bit to get some movement into the suspension. That will settle the bushes ( and any internal bind ), then check and "re-torque".

    Have you considered an ARB air locker. Not sure how price compares for you, however they are heavy duty, and can be turned "on" and "off" using a small air compressor that engages a dog internally.

    Ha - never thought of that, too used to stick shift I guess... Maybe you can remove the dust shield and inspect the flex plate that way, and also remove the trans pan to check for garbage in there also. Other than that, if the diff internals look OK you would have to drop the tranny to inspect ...

    Hi all - sorry what is the difference with the later model tailgates to the earlier ones ? Just the external body mould line at the top lip ? LMC sells up to '81. I prefer good ( un rusted ) used parts to "new" stampings anyway. If you are in the high desert area you should have no problem...
