Thanks for the vote of one bolt at a time. I noted a small amount of oil before tightening them down again. Now nothing. I have a white sealant to stop leaks on bolts I think is permatex brand. It worked well on the intake plug I put in the coolant runner that was there for a temp sensor. But it...- eric 87

appreciate. I did go around and retighten all bolts. All the intake bolts have washers however my carb nuts do not. I was thinking maybe I might switch those to the bolts that came with it as well. I do appreciate that. I did notice on the drivers side there was about half teaspoon of oil below that back center bolt. THEN noticed I had an open hole for some bracket mount or something next to that bolt. I put a bolt in it. I have to pull it back out and put sealant on it. I went back around...- eric 87

well my 87 just got a carb. I am having the same issue of it dying just as you described. It is much stronger with this 600cfm Holley Street warrior carb than the TBI ever was. Just as an aside...no one could ever tell me what the second relay was / is on the firewall next to the fuel relay. Never found it on any wiring diagram on 87. Turns out it is the TH400 kickdown relay. Not sure why they sent it through the computer and a relay but they did. The truck overall is...- eric 87

The ECM was only about 120. And yes it sucked to toss out 700+/- on parts that are of no use now. I will list them on one of the facebook groups and be in no hurry to sell them. So there is bio wire coatings and it is a favorite of mice and other varmints. They have chewed on all my mowing equipment and the ford. -
1987 Burb TBI to carb swap
Part of the FRIGGIN NUTS 700 was a new ECM. New ECM MAP SENSOR TPS (2) IAC (2) Temp sensors , O2 sensor. Nothing helped. Took to shop. He found bad pickup coil so put in NEW complete distributor he said he had for a small block on his shelf and sold me cheap as in 50$ but also rebuilt the TBI...- eric 87
