    Verajet heat soak?!?!?

You can double confirm by laying a bag of ice on the intake around the carb. If you don't hear the boil then go for a spacer.

    Verajet heat soak?!?!?

After a drive to warm it up, pull the air cleaner, slowly open the throttle while using a flashlight/ phone to see down the venturis. Keep the throttle open . If you see raw gas dribbling down the venturi your float is either set too high or fuel is boiling or both. A plastic cutting board as a...

    Sealing Bed Wood

I’m a candidate for renewing the wood bed also. Prior owners had no clue re: UV degradation. Ive used a product called One Time Wood extensively on a cabin. Its the only product that holds up to Co. sun & weather. I’m talking in excess of 10 years! Its not meant to be for foot traffic. Anyone...

    LED bulbs in gauge cluster

Just replaced all gauge and panel lights w/ cheap 3V LEDs. You have to add a 5.6k resistor in the 12v line to keep them from burning out. Easy to solder at the feed line & cover w/ shrink tubing.

Just a tad of rust on the ring gear. Camping receipt in the glove box confirmed it all. Haven't found...

LED Tail lights now slow blinkers

using resistors to create the required load will work, but they get so hot you cant touch them. Kinda defeats the purpose in going to LED. Wander over to SuperBright & explore options. https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle?find=1974-chevrolet-k20-pickup-6938395&sid=6jiscCxb8d

    Anti theft devices

I've employed most methods suggested. Bottom line” if you mechanically or electronically disable a vehicle, it can be circumvented.” This seems to be the most effective from a deterrent perspective, at least law enforcement thinks so! It might still be dragged onto a rollback if enough room to...

    Carb at high alt

A simple low buck fix. Fab a spray bar for front top of the radiator core, simple pipe w/ small holes. Attach to a gallon or 2 water supply & divert your windshield washer pump or any 12v switch controlled pump. The gauge will drop in minutes.
