    Clutch and thermostat seem to help. I started daydreaming about those diesel heaters you see on ebay... Look nice but I don't think I would do it.

    I had a transistor short out in my pulse wiper control box that kept the wipers going. Recently fixed with a refurbished unit from a user on here gmachinz. Good price too! If you had the problem before replacing your motor assembly, I would look into that.

    Thanks guys. Clutch and thermostat on order. Cardboard installation pending personal motivation! The clutch is stuck on all the way according to the tests I did so that's a big contributor I'm sure. I'll update this thread on my results.
