You can use the JVC remote app. Or just control volume/music via Bluetooth on your phone. It’s a marine/power sports setup. I figured with my truck being old and not water tight it wouldn’t hurt to have something that won’t be ruined by moisture...
Time to bust out the dremel and start to cut this new glove box lining.
Gonna attach the 3d printed cage/radio from the top of the glove box so that was I don’t have to worry about clearance when the glove box skin is re installed
Truck was previously wired with a radio in the glove box. Luckily it’s 100% controllable via my phone. Plus my stock radio was to clean to change out to a retro sound unit. Plus it doesn’t offer the support of a unit that’s gonna run multiple amped speakers and sub.
To each their own though!
I was gonna run my cables in sheething under the new rubber floor before installing it so that way I don’t nick em or anything while cutting for the shifter etc
Head unit is a JVC media player in the glovebox since I’m keeping the appearance of my stock radio. 3d printed a cage to mount the headunit in the glove box out of the way
Finally getting to the point where I can start to lay out speakers and wiring home runs from the headunit to the amp.
