    Huh. Okay, thanks for the ID. This transmission came from an '81 Suburban, so the TCS sensor is probable. My buddy's diagnosis of "a sensor you are not using" turns out to be the most accurate. Thanks! I'll stop worrying!

    Update on this thread. I replaced my motor mounts about six months ago and that seems to have fixed the problem. I hadn't been doing any freeway driving because of cowardice, but I've let 'er rip the last couple weeks and no vibration. I haven't pushed her past 70 but so far smooth sailing...

    @NickTransmissions I realized I had not thanked you for all your info here and videos on YouTube. My th350c was rebuilt 1.5 years ago and is going strong, but I feel way more prepared when she needs some more attention. Maybe one day I will even hook up my lockup conveter clutch.

    Mine is too short as well. Turnd out the PO replaced the drivetrain in my 73 C10 with an 81 Suburban, which is a 1.5" shorter wheelbase. He lowered the rear 6" with an axle flip, so it looks similar to yours at the tailshaft.
