Update on this thread. I replaced my motor mounts about six months ago and that seems to have fixed the problem. I hadn't been doing any freeway driving because of cowardice, but I've let 'er rip the last couple weeks and no vibration. I haven't pushed her past 70 but so far smooth sailing...- BRetty

Thanks for the prod to do something I should have done a long time ago. @NickTransmissions I realized I had not thanked you for all your info here and videos on YouTube. My th350c was rebuilt 1.5 years ago and is going strong, but I feel way more prepared when she needs some more attention. Maybe one day I will even hook up my lockup conveter clutch.- BRetty

What have you done to your square lately??
I've been having major knock problems, so I tried some Seafoam "Top End Cleaner" aka can o' tuneup. Got the engine hot, squirted bursts of it down the throat of my quadrajet, let it "Heat Soak". A satisfying amount of vile-smelling white smoke came out when I ran it for ten minutes. Along... -
Drive shaft too short
Mine is too short as well. Turnd out the PO replaced the drivetrain in my 73 C10 with an 81 Suburban, which is a 1.5" shorter wheelbase. He lowered the rear 6" with an axle flip, so it looks similar to yours at the tailshaft.- BRetty

Agree about the balancer. Also check your motor mounts, they could be cracked or totally shot and you would feel vibration. Work-wise, it's hard to do live events with celebrities when 1/3 of celebreties' houses just burned down. Work will pick up again. My only real actiion was to replace my engine mounts. One was definitely cracked/torn. That helped some, but mostly I have not taken her on the highway.
