    Thanks for the info guys. Not to change the subject mid thread or anything but how do you recalibrate the speedo with the new gears and tires. I have done it on countless mustangs but never tried it on one of these. Thanks again. ..

    My 84 k10 has a 4 speed (granny gear, bull dog whatever you would like to call it). A stock 305 and 35 12.50s. Was wandering what would be a good gear to use for a mostly street truck. The little 305 pulls it pretty good but the stock gears are just to high. Wandering if anyone has been there...

    temp gauge problems

    Ya I think I may be opening a can of worms. Got to looking a little deeper. The interior lights don't work when I put a bulb in the one under the dash, and it worked fine until I turned the steering wheel to one spot and it acted like it shorted out. Arcing noise from around the column.

    temp gauge problems

    My temp gauge stays pegged all the way over past hot as far as it can go. Was wandering if anyone has any suggestions before I tear into it. I have unplugged it from the sending unit makes no difference. Thanks guys.

    Tennessee newbie

    New to the GM square body world. Looking to possibly put a 96 vortec from a wrecked truck fuel injection and all. Looking for people that may have tried it before. Good idea or bad. Thanks guys looking forward to learning more about this awesome truck.
