    Good luck finding the problem Maybe it is like my 1979 Olds 98 where the high speed fan needs a special relay under the hood. I have had the car 2.5 years and had to replace that relay when I got the car and recently again as it was cutting off at times. I am also fine with the other speeds...

    With pricing for our square bodies a bit weaker of late, with your budget you should be able to find something even nicer than just a daily driver. I see some all the time in that range but since I already have one of my own, I don't go to look at them. Best wishes fellow truck lover.

    So sorry for you I have an 85 red SWB 4 WD pickup I would be devastated to lose that way. These are scumbags to say the least. They sure picked the carcass bare. Guess they know from prior crimes what to do and how to go about it quick.

    I was thinking bi-level which came along later in the offerings. If you don't have the right vacuum set up for the connection, I would think the extra space would cause problems with vacuum distribution. Can they send you one for the right vehicle you have and take this one back?

    Since you have a switch and they (at least mine) do not tend to stall in the switching process with engine running, what is the benefit of eliminating the switch. Looks like of lazy to me.

    Do whatever you prefer. GMC was considered higher level than Chevrolet (Professional grade they call it now). My 85 is a GMC but you can easily do what you prefer as they are similar.
